I love quake 3, and normally I would be all over this. But my graphics card fried and Im running off of a TNT2 card right now I had as a spare. And I cant bear to play my beloved quake 3 in anything but max settings at 500-700FPS.

    I'm up for it.

Actually I'm joking, I just dont think it will run playable at all, and I would have to backup and make a new config file from scratch to be able to play. Cause no way in hell is this little TNT2 going to run 1280x1024 max settings and be anything but a slideshow.

As much as I love Quake 3, being reduced to low graphics games I reinstalled Total Annihilation and was about to play. And I cant say no to TA.

    Warsow is shit

    t volyu check your PMs

It is actually, really, really good.

I'm having severe trouble hitting anything with a 200 ping :P, cept rockets, they're alright because the game knows how to account for them and throws them in 200 ms ahead of where they were shot from, except they blow close range still.

E: I am going to make breakfast now, as much as I'd like to think so I can't draw power from an AC socket.

Is there a way we can make things more complicated than simply starting a server and having people connect: yes

every time I try to search for a server that's running it cancels to the console with the error "net_getpacket: wsaeconnreset"

I can ping the server just fine, and my ports are forwarded correctly. I even put my computer in the DMZ just to make sure it wasn't the router's settings and it still didn't work

what amazing function does this program provide in the case of quake 2 that makes it better than just starting a server and connecting directly to their IP

We use it for a lot of other games.

Also nobody wants to start a server I guess.

I understand it works well for old LAN and IPX games, and VPN functions

but why would you bother with it, with a game that has perfectly fine TCP/IP capabilities
