Dutch pink on a downtown train
Two-dollar pistol but the gun won't shoot
I'm in the corner on the pouring rain
ixteen men on a dead mans chest
And Ive been drinking from a broken cup
Two pairs of pants and a mohair vest
Im full of bourbon, I cant stand up
However, a couple weeks ago I finally picked up Swordfishtrombones and Rain Dogs, and now I've got Mule Variations, and I'm loving it all.
well, my favourite album that isn't named 'rain dogs'
A Real Beef Snack.
ps this scarlett johannson cover of falling down is terrible
a woman when she weeps
a merchant when he swears
a thief who says he'll pay
a lawyer when he cares
a snake when he's sleeping
a drunkard when he prays
i don't believe you go to heaven when you're good
everything goes to hell anyway
That laugh at the end is fantastic.
might have to purchase a physical copy
h5 fellow Rain Dogs lover
and benzedrine for getting there
found him in a eucalyptus tree
the tom waits cackle could give a kid nightmares
I like the grocery store bit a lot better, just for the way he does the turn-around at the end.

Drivin' dangerous curves across the dirty sheets,
He said man you ought to see her,
When her parents are gone,
Man you ought to hear her when the siren's on.
You got to tell me brave captain,
Why are the wicked so strong?
How do the angels get to sleep,
When the devil leaves the porchlight on>

it's not very......good
The rudest of titties though.
Monthly or so.
Right now I'm on Alice, but Rain Dogs is fucking fantastic and I'm just coming off Bone Machine.
Follow me on Twitter??
I love Bottom of the World, from Brawlers, though.
The production work by Sitek is excellent, and I like the sound of the album. It has that deep, bassy quality that you get in TVotR records, but still sounds distinctly different.
Most of the songs sound absolutely nothing like the Tom Waits originals. This isn't a bad thing, because Scarlett Johansson trying to imitate Waits would just be ridiculous.
Scarlett's voice isn't anything to write home about in itself, but it fits here really well. She does a good job, but there's nothing particularly unique or powerful about it. It's more of a part of the music than it is a driving force behind it, and I like that quality in an album. It's actually a good thing that she took a more reserved approach.
Bowie's guest vocals are always welcome because it's fucking Bowie.
It's not going to be something I'd listen to every day, but I definitely respect her for it. Rhino wanted her to make an album, and she took the freedom they gave her and made an indie sounding album of respectful covers that don't push the "I'm Scarlett Johannson" factor in your face. I'd check it out if you get the chance.
yeah, all the hidden tracks are all good
lame
