Does the PAX rate only apply for specific days? I tried making a reservation for the full wek prior to PAX and the web site claims that they have no rooms....
Try to call the hotel and mention the group over the phone. I used to work in hotels and the on-site folks have a lot more leeway for reservations. I'm at the crowne plaza and they wouldn't give me Thursday through Monday with the group rate online. When I called and politely asked the on-site clerk, though, no problems!

Or maybe the PAX block is already sold out?
I would imagine it's at most Thursday night-Monday night. They're not going to let you book the full week in advance. Easier way to tell, of course, is to just try booking a smaller amount of time.

I tried this hotel just for the 3 days of PAX, Friday-Sunday, and it tells me no rooms are available. Lies I say!
EDIT: Okay... I tried it without putting in the discount code and it gives me openings. wtf lol
Quick warning, this is the place that triple charged me last year, and then took FOUR HOURS to sort it out, and they wouldn't let us leave until it was sorted out.

okay thanks for the warning, I'll be sure to bring my sword with me in case they try to screw me over. :P
I going to PAX, but it looks like all the recommended hotels on the website are all booked up. Anyone know of any other ones that would be close to the convention center? An easy walk is preferable, of course.
This is in other threads, but if you haven't tried calling I'd recommend it. The Crowne Plaza's website said they were full, we called, got us a room with 2 beds at the PAX rate, no problems. If that doesn't work, Sixth Avenue Inn is pretty close and reasonably priced.
Check out this thread. Someone just confirmed today that The Red Lion has rooms. Also, check out the unofficial Wiki site, the major options are all listed there, with distances and prices.

That's not enough info to be helpful, we know the four hotels that originally had a pax discount ran out online. Did you try the Red Lion? Did you try calling the other hotels and seeing what a real person could do? If not the answer is look for another hotel, I linked a list of them.
Homewood Suites (owned by Hilton), up on the corner of Pike and Boren, just opened. Note, no PAX pricing, and they apparently aren't going to have swimming pool or hot tubs available until...the day after PAX.
So no cheap deals, but if someone really needs a hotel just a couple blocks away from PAX, here ya go.

Probably should be in the original thread--but this one is newish.
Anywho!
If you go to any Sheraton Hotels websites (Sheraton Seattle, The W, and The Westin)
All of those have their online offer where if you start your stay on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday and you stay for two nights, the third night is free.
Links are below along with their locations. All in Downtown and seriously close to the Convention Center.
