Did you get commissioned to do this work?

If not, I'm sure you'd do well if you linked around to a few Christian forums. I like the art and I think the target audience would appreciate the jokes and the message. It's obviously not my thing, the same is true for many of the people on this forum, but there's no doubt that you're on to something.

I really love the line work in it. The content's not for me, and I don't want this thread to turn into a theological debate, but I really love the art in the first two and the line work in all.

the art is actually pretty solid. better than most webcomics nowadays. even though its not my thang, there is a niche audience currenty underserved would love this stuff

The text in the speech bubbles is very inconsistent. Other than that, I really like the artwork.

I really liked these, but in the last panel of the second comic, the bald guy has an awfully strange expression. Its like a atrange combination of confusion and anger.

The colored-in style of the first strip might be better served by black lines rather than darker colors.

Great linework, but your writing isn't going to garner much interest in this forum. As Flyingman said, you'd probably be much more successful in a Christian forum.

I recognize that the writing is not really fitting with this audience, but I post here mostly because of my respect for Gabe's art. I also figure that a lot of you probably do photoshop work in which case you might appreciate the tutorials and articles on my site more than the comic itself. If anyone sees my video tutorials I'd like to get some feedback on them.

i love your linework so much. the style is gorgeous and sleek. while i'm also on the side of the fence where "ugh preachy" comes to mind, i also really have to admire the fact that you're writing something different. and it's not like it's chickpix or whatever that comic they hand out at halloween is. it's interesting, keep at'er. would be nice to see more coloured/toned drawings, though - i see you flip a lot between plain lines, textured bgs, and then full colour. colour makes the world go round, bruddah!

Considering the content of PA's strips, I'm sure you're not surprised at the reaction to the content here. I agree with everyone else that the art is very good, but I can appreciate the content, despite being an atheist. (Though I totally see the "preachy" side of it as well - at least it's not a Chick Tract thing!). I'll be sure to share this with some Christian friends, definitely.

I have to wonder, though, how some people will react to you thinking creationism should be added to the Christian Hall of Shame.
I also have to wonder what that guy is doing hanging in a Christian school?

Not everyone that goes to christian schools are bible thumpers. Shit I knew some damn scandalous people that went to a catholic school near me growing up.

Edit: and so as not to go off topic, I really enjoy the inking/coloring. Very smooth with a painterly look to it.

I really like the way the background in the 2nd comic is done, it's an interesting texture and design choice that worked really well.

That latest comic could be done with a single panel without any dialogue.

Just have a caption saying "Christian Hall of Shame" with the stuff on the wall, and have the guy chiseling Creationism on it.

I dunno, that comic in particular strikes me as something you could turn into a political comic, and I always think that less is more with those.
