Comic book?

Brian Crecente at Kotaku posted his impressions of the game today and he says it is looking good. What really caught my eye is the picture for the news post looks like a comic supplement for the game. Does anyone know what the deal with this comic is?

I'm pretty sure that the material came up in a PA-TV cast (perhaps by mistake; but I know I've seen that page before I saw it in that Kotaku story), but I'm certain that Tycho and Gabe discussed it in the Greenhousegames betatest podcast.
