What a brave stance you have on Liv Tyler's mouth.

Tummy kissing reminds me of that scene in Raging Bull. You know the one.

    I'd try that.

Speaking of the quality behind the quality of various TV shows, am I the only on to notice that House has been skimping on cool special effects? Was that a conscious decision because people didn't think it was cool following a pov shot through an artery to a blood clot or was it to do with spending more money on Laurie (the reason people are watching) and cutting out the extraneous stuff?

Hmm. PA Adventures ep 1 is pretty good. So far the only complaint I have is that you have to select the next character you want to do an action with, but whatever. The game is suitably funny and looks great.

Well damn there goes the [chat]. I actually like sharks but have an irrational fear of them. I'm worse with snakes. I am totally afraid of snakes for no good reason. My sister has a kid who like all normal male children (can't speak for women but maybe it's true for all) thinks snakes are cool. So I go and visit and the first two things out of his mouth are 1) I got a snake and 2) We got a PS2. I knew then that I would have to suck it up and pretend I loved snakes. Luckily the beast was a tiny snake and I pretended not to be in mortal fear of it as I let it slither about. No, Dr. Phil: facing my fear did not cure me of my irrational snake fear. The only thing I have going for me is that as long as I can see an exit strategy I can fake it. I had to do this in a business meeting where I was drafting some revisions to a contract being negotiated on a conference call. My side of the call was in our EVP's office and he was simultaneously negotiating contract points while having his snake slither around his arm and occasionally move towards me and flick it's tongue. For all I know it could have been saying how much it liked me and how it thought we would be great friends. All I thought was, pretend you aren't afraid of the snake, pretend you aren't afaid of the snake, pretend you aren't afraid of the snake.

Haha, Puck. My dad is terrified of snakes as well. I have a yearling corn snake. :) It's really too bad, though - they make great pets for guys. Very solitary, so they don't need you to give them attention very often, weekly feedings (or thereabouts) and monthly cage cleanings mean they require very little work.

EDIT: Yeah, I got it off XBL as well. I thought it be bigger considering stuff like Doom is 55MB on Live. 165MB just seems....tiny.

I'm enjoying it, I'd enjoy it more if someone who knows how to play D&D would co-op with me or tell me how to do stuff without dying, though. I mean is there any advantage to dual wielding a longsword and a rapier or should I just go double longswords since they do more damage?

If you use a rapier in your off hand you'll have less of a penalty to hit. Smaller weapons in the offhand will give you this bonus. You'll also want the feats if you're going to do this.

Edit: At least I think a rapier is considered small...

What feats? I'm an elven ranger if that helps any.

Edit: Parry is pretty cool initially but it seems to more delay the inevitable than actually help me win fights.

I pissed my friends off by completing NWN in about 2 weeks with a Half-Orc Barbarian/Fighter.

They were all talking up strategy and D&D lore and I just hit the dragons in those dungeons until they croaked and I was also invincible.

Right there with you. I had no idea about D&D rules. Although NWN isn't as brutal as the 2d games like Baldur's for that sort of thing. Isn't NWN almost like KOTOR in that you can pause? I always play a magic user so I never had the intricacies of weapons down. I do know that there are indeed intricacies though.

I never really played NWN 1 beyond 15 minutes of character creation since I didn't own it. I picked up NWN 2 and just never really got into it. I think I made it roughly 1/3 of the way through but then just lost interest.
