Do you have problems finding fun/good people to play with for online games?

Sure you have friends and family, but they are very limited and get boring after awhile. Gaming forums are another source, but the only thing you have in common with potential partners is you enjoy the same forum. I'm talking compatible personalities, schedules, play styles, etc.

are these even a concern to you when looking for people or random people are fine (i can see guilds in mmo's wanting it more than players on xbox live)

I enjoy playing with people from the SA forums.

edit: You registered just to copy a thread from SA?

    if xbox live YES.
    if PC NO.

haven't played PS3 online games extensively, so I'll not comment.
Wii online is the punchline to a sick and dirty joke, so yes.

essentially when I play online I can find a server, play on it any time I'm playing that game, then you'll start to recognize other players who do that. then providing you're not an asshole, and they're not assholes, then you'll have met people to play that game with.

I only ever played Battlefield 2 on one server because I had so much fun playing with the regulars, and I put like 400 hours into that game.

I've gone down that road for pretty much every game I've played since Quake 2.

Wii online is the punchline to a sick and dirty joke, so yes.

Finding someone to play with on the Wii is like a bondage party. You're in the dark; gagged, blind-folded and incredibly uncomfortable, groping around trying to figure out if it's your best friend's ass you're cupping or a guy from buttfuck nowhere.

Now, if you decide to try and please the twisted mistress that is Nintendo, complete with Reggie in a leather loincloth holding a whip made out of Wiimotes and broken dreams, by telling him in precise detail the code he demands (Everytime you get it wrong, he whips you in the teeth) then the blindfold is removed and you're led into a smaller room where the floor is made of tar and you're still gagged and unable to communicate apart from frantic hand gestures which can only mean "GET HELP."

    That is Nintendo online.

Well nowadays I play with folks from this fine forum when I'm on X-Box Live.

Back when I played Diablo II, I met all my buddies when we teamed up against PvP douchebags, and everyone I played Starcraft/Warcraft III with were from a Blizzard modding message board.
