I hope I'm not too off-topic, but where are all the news posts from before about 2002?
If I had to guess, probably scattered across text files on Tycho's hard drive.
More seriously, they're somewhere because they put a few of them in the books that covered the pre-2002 era. But I don't think they've ever been online with the current version of the site.

Ah, thanks. I've managed to read a few through the Internet Archive, but I was wondering what was with all the 'missing' ones.
Possibly not the right place to mention it, but there's a typo in the first frame of the latest comic (2008-08-29). I'm assuming it should be "arms race between" as opposed to "arms race betwee".
EDIT: My excuse is that a typo could be considered broken if one were to stretch the definition of broken.
Penny Arcade is a Comedy Bistro (1/6/03) is doing the same thing - it's on both its own page and the same page as It's Been Awhile (1/4/02). I think there's some kind of freakish pattern here.
http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2006/10/26/ <-- Redirect Loop: Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. Same deal for IE7.
Opera has a lot of trouble reading the images on this site. Here's a screenshot of the engarblement.
It's working fine in Opera for me, but I'm using it on Windows. Can you clear the cache and try again? (I still haven't quite figured out how to easily do a cache refresh.)
Clearing the cache worked, but it's still kind of strange. I've never seen it happen on any other site/browser. Especially because refreshing doesn't seem to work. Oh well.
As was mentioned before, Please Don't Read This, Mom (11/28/03) is missing. I have the highres version hosted on my photobucket from when I dled (almost) all of the PA comics for my screensaver. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b367/Tofystedeth/20031128h.gif

Actually, this is correct. We release in "issues" on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Comics and newposts are split into those "issues." As an example, a post on 2005/5/6 will be in the 2005/5/4 issue.

Thanks guys!
Edit: You Know How It Is (1/1/03) is also appearing on both its original page and the same page as The Village Of The Spammed (12/31/01).

There are two copies of Cardboard and Steel, Part 5 (3/12/03) on its page. Same goes for Thank You, Scott (3/31/03), The Wandering Age (7/14/03) and The Inconvenience Fairy (10/29/03).
The image for Please Don't Read This, Mom (11/28/03) doesn't seem to be there.

That happens for me too, occasionally. Reloading the image (or opening the image alone in a new tab) usually fixes it.
Still an issue... this one's got a podcast about it, probably gets a little higher traffic....

I did not manage to get the one from January 08 which a lot of people have reported. Hope these help you some Alpha.
That would be silly.
Stupid Photobucket's little popdown URL thing is sometimes tricky to work right on my computer.
This comic (http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2008/01/18/) is broken for me.

Thanks Tofystedeth!
Fixed! Thanks ASimPerson!
Note: It should take about 15min from this post for the files to show up in production.

This is not fixed. This has to do with the security settings on that field (HTML is stripped out)
I'll take a look at this one later.
Awesome report. Fixed.
Thanks Meiz!
