Actually they claim it will be out by the end of the year, so I see no reason why it would not be available at least in cinematic form at PAX.
I'm not sure they said GW2 would be released in '08, but they did say they would start open beta. So, knowing ArenaNet and what they usually do at PAX each year, I expect some sort of beta key giveaway. NCSoft gave away beta keys for Tabula Rasa last year (that's why im a subscriber) so it could happen again.
So ArenaNet/NCSoft better be showing off Guild Wars 2, and Blizzard better be showing off Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3. That will satisfy me.
Release date or gears 2 is november 2008, its already been announced.

The Burnout Paradise update will have been out for a over a month by the time we get to PAX. The update (Codename: Cagney) will be released in 1 Day, 12 Hours, 44 Minutes and 24 Seconds at the time of this posting. The Davis (Day/Night) update should also be out by the time we get to PAX.

It doesn't look like the PC version of Burnout Paradise will arrive before PAX, so if it doesn't it would be nice to see some things on that as well. And there could be new upcoming updates for the console versions by the time PAX rolls around too.
I would like to See M.U.L.E for the Wii and DS.

I know it's not going to happen, but I would like to see the new Fire Emblem for the DS there.
In any case, I don't think I ever replied to this thread. I'm looking forward to anything Blizzard has available, since I'm excited about all 3 of their announced products. I have high doubts Diablo 3 will be playable in any form, but the other two games I'm more optimistic about.
Other than that I WAS excited for Ghostbusters, but without a publisher will it even appear at the show? If not, will they still bring Ecto-1? Please?
Rock Band 2 is a huge yes.
Lastly some random ones I'm not sure will be there. SEGA/Gearbox Samba De Amigo Wii, Sony DC Universe Online, Midway Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, and Gears of War 2.
left 4 dead is the main one for me unless i'm brainfarting something out

Not particularly. I'll give it a toss if I'm in the right place at the right time, but I have a lot of other games on my list. Honestly I don't see what's so exciting about Left 4 Dead either. But then again I'm not one of those people that thinks Valve poops gold. I'm not much of a Valve fan outside of the original TFC and TF2.
half the reason I was looking forward to E3 was because I figured whatever the press saw there, we'd likely see at PAX. That's how it seemed to be last year anyway. But now that the abortion that is now E3 has come and gone, I guess my anticipation has been dampened a bit. Still, I'd love to see deadspace, mirror's edge, and perhaps the new guitar hero. I shudder at the thought of the kind of refuse nintendo will likely decide to duct tape together for our enjoyment. I don't think we'll get anything too exciting though. Hopefully I'm wrong.
If I could request one thing though...it'd probably be for Bungie to show whatever the hell got hushed up at E3

I want to try Left 4 Dead in a PAX environment because it, more than anything else, looks like a compelling advancement in the scope and pace of cooperative gameplay. I certainly don't think that Valve are incapable of releasing a game that I don't enjoy, but I was every sort of excited about Left 4 Dead before Valve had even heard of Turtle Rock studios.

I played Left 4 Dead at QuakeCon 2007. It was a decent demo then, but I don't know what the long development cycle is about. It's not like they were developing the engine or anything.

I want to believe playable demo for D3, but I imagine that's wishful thinking.
Some games out of left field (Dead Rising 2, Sonic Unleashed, maybe Quantum of Solace?) would be cool.
Also, I want a "Meet the Piro" video. And Rainslick ep2.
And a BB Gun.
And a pony.
