i got a lasko flexair 678 for my office desk, because the air conditioner is not doing what it's supposed to

9661508201xg3.jpg

small, but gets the job done

It is supposedly "whisper quiet" but that would only be true if you a very loud whisperer.

How are you keeping cool on extremely hot days?

I moved into my townhouse like a year ago and I still have no idea what controls the ceiling fan in my room, it seems to have willpower of its own.

It was on constantly from March to the middle of this past weekend

which just happaned to the start of a brutal heatwave

and now I cant figure out how to turn it on again

I have a little desk fan to supplement the AC and ceiling fan for when it starts hitting 110+ in the shade though.

fla-vor-ices are inferior to the kool-aid brand of freezer pops

they don't turn into solid ice as you're eating them, they remain somewhere between popsicle and frozen slush consistency without ever turning to water

    slightly less flavors though

Yes. The biggest problem with Heineken is it skunks very easily and the keg prevents that very well if you buy it warm and chill it yourself.

My office is a converted Nuclear Medicine hot room that I have been told doesn't have any tracers of radiation anymore. I have never seen the proof.

When they converted it in to an office somebody failed to notify Plant Operations who still seems to think it is a store room with a constant temp of 45 degrees. I have been in this "office" for a year and a half now and every month I get a Central Plant officer to experience the cold. He always says "Damn man, that is cold" tells me that he will change the temp in the computer system. Nothing ever happens.

Last week I got tired of dressing like an Eskimo when it was 100+ outside so I went ahead and tore off my vent and rerouted the air into the room next to me through the ceiling panels.

I have no idea how long it will take them to notice, but I don't care. It is now a perfect 72 degrees!
