I am 23 now and I'll be 23 when I get to PAX and I'll most likely be 23 when I leave PAX, as well. I mean...I hope so. Alaskan Airlines might employ chronospheres disguised as jetplanes- I don't know. I don't know about jetplanes.
Well, my chances of going to PAX this year have gone from "definitely" to roughly "50/50", but just for the record:
I'm 26, my boyfriend is 26, and we'd be bringing our 2 year old daughter.
Yup. They're never too young to start learning the joys of gaming.
(that, and our chances of finding a sitter for the whole weekend are outright laughable.... ;-))

That's what grandparents are for! Well, that's where we are leaving our 2 year old for the trip.

A 26 year old man with the mind of a 12 year old boy:
Wait, how did you get a picture of me? The headphones, the deathgrip on the DS, the constant shunning of society that says a mid 20's male can't act 12.

The death grip is because the dragon spider I was facing in Puzzle Quest just got a BULLSHIT drop of 4-of-a-kind skulls *grumble*
27 here. Yeah, the ages of people at PAX last year was, on average, older than I'd have expected.
I am not surprised as really in this day and age, unless you live nearby, how the hell is some 16 year old easily going to save up enough to go to PAX unless parents help out. It is expensive to travel around.

I was expecting more 18-21 range, and found most people I talked to were 25+.
ohh good to see that we're getting a lot of families coming to this. Hopefully PAX can become a family tradition. Like hanging stockings at Christmas. No one knows why we do it, except its a fun tradition.
Ok, I have a general idea that this will be a typical 18-27 year old male dominated gathering but I was wondering how many people are outside that genre. I am a 38 year old dad/gamer and I am taking my son/gamer (17) and daughter/gamer (12). I was having a REALLY hard time trying to figure out what our summer vacation could be that would be fun for all three of us since we have three different age groups and when I was reminded of PAX(by listeing AGAIN to Wil Wheatons PAX address) it clicked. So just curious if I will be the token old guy(as my kids are so fond of calling me) or if others will be around. August can't get here soon enough.

Oh so no girl will be there? didn't think so o.o Only guys play games
8-12 of us now. Ages range from like...26? to six 17 year olds.. one or two 22-25. and maybe a few more people around 17-18 and a couple more between 22-25

My sister will be "daughter/gamer (12)"... But.. uh.... my parents are divorced... so bringing my mom along would be a bit awkward lol... plus, she refuses to play games anyways...
A group of about 6 of us will be coming across the ferry with ages ranging from 21-25, with myself being the oldest. Even being so close it could get expensive for us since the concerts get out after the ferries stop running, but we'll figure it out somehow . Last year we had to leave before the Minibosses were done performing because the convention center garage was closing and we didn't want our car stuck in there. That will definatly not happen again!

you should look into getting a hotel room. i mean, 6x$6.50x3= $117, and thats just for passengers going on the ferry. add in car fees (gas, parking, ferry pass), and you almost have the price of a hotel for the weekend. and plus, then you don't have to worry about the ferry!
I just remembered that my birthday is on Monday so I will be 39 for PAX! Didnt even think of that when I started the thread...my kids are gonna give me sh!t about forgetting that for weeks....

Except the ones who are dead. But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying.

LoL! I read this and immediately thought of MadTV's Madonna Britney Spears parody...
