Game Glitch - Cannot Progress! (SPOILERS)

Okay, I've been playing PA: OTRSPODEO (that is a nice acronym.) but I believe my game has become stuck.

Even though I've gotten both the giant gear and the giant key, when I speak to Anne-Claire she still asks me if I have completely checked out Pelican Bay. I haven't, because I still don't have a ticket to get it, and I can't get one because Dr. Ernald P. Whimple is still not being very talkative. I've already defeated the Slum Lord, but I never got to converse with him and open the doors...

I'd rather not have to restart my game, is there any way to get out of this sticky situation? It won't let me progress in anything, it seems. Help!

    In your Case Log, did you finish the Nobel Pee Prize mission? If you have indeed killed the Slum Lord in the wharehouse, did you try going to Pelican Bay and talking with Swindell again?

    That sure sounds like the bug that affects pirated versions of the game.

    Did you get the mini Fruit Fucker from the Shithole sweatshop? It's a good idea to investigate everything there.
