I'm thinking there's going to be a lot of cookies, but not enough for all. I'm putting my few dozen batches right now (inbetween 11 minute cooking times right now), but seeing as that one girl is making several hundred cookies, they shouldn't be terribly impossible to find.
Aye... if anyone needs to buy cookies, look for me too. I'll be the dork in the Wrex mask with a giant box filled with cookies strapped across his belly.
Hey everyone that's helping out! I'm compiling a list of everone's cell phone numbers so we can get in touch if needed. So please PM me your cell (including area code) if you have one. Also include your email so I can send it around to everyone tomorrow night. Thanks!
So I went to Michael's this morning, and picked up some organza bags from the wedding section for collecting money. Below is a link (since the IMG tag isn't working) of a (slightly blurry) pic of one filled with my daughter's Mrs. Potato Head bits, as they were the most accessible thing to put in the bad. I've got 12 total, plus a few other containers I can bring, so hopefully a few of you are bringing your own collection containers.
Whoo! Buttons! Many thanks to the people at Stargate Atlantis (aka my husband and his coworkers). Button is photographed next to my chewed up bottle of Wite-Out to give an indication of size. These are for the people who are part of the Cookie Brigade, and are not to be sold to other con-goers.
Yes, Cybit, any help is appreciated. The more people we have handing out cookies, the better. It gives us better exposure and better range. We'll just hand off some cookies to you on Friday when we meet.

I think I may pass on any of your cookies...I don't think you're supposed to eat white out.

Bittersweet chocolate chip cookies with fleur de sel.
For those who dig fancy-pants cookies.
Uh oh. Now I have to break out the fleur de sel caramels. Honey-vanilla caramel, covered in 72% cacao dark chocolate, sprinkled with fleur de sel. Look what you made me do!
I propose a friendly trade.
I'll drink (a glass of ice cold milk) to that!
My cookies are finally on their way out of the oven.

Hi, I just joined to google group to help too, but my membership is pending. Just wanted to say that main reason this is subversive is because the Washington State Convention Center has really strict rules in place about who can sell food there. As in, only the offical vendors. So, don't get caught by WSCC folks.
Thanks lesleymac. I know this, and will be reiterating it when we meet on Friday. However, I have also talked with a few people at Penny Arcade, and they are aware of what we are doing, and have also informed the Enforcers. So as long as we're careful, we should be okay.
Man, my little 35-cookie contribution looks so sad now.
Not at all! Things add up real quick when you have several people bringing 30, 40 or 50 cookies each. We'll break the 1,000 cookie mark, but only because of everyone's contribution!
Oof, I finally have my cookies baked, bagged, and stamped. I found perfectly-sized cellophane bags at Joann's fabrics, and my husband printed WoW-item styled labels for each cookie, notating that the cookie was baked with Child's Play in mind.
Of course, there are only 26 o.O But these puppies are huge, about 3.5 oz each. Maybe I'll bake more after PAX tomorrow.
I would just like to compliment the baker of the delicious cookie I ate today...I believe I was told it was oatmeal raisin with caramel....if it wasn't it was still the best cookie ever....
please I need the recipe I need to eat more of those.
Ahh! That's a good idea! The thought hadn't occurred to me to go there. I was hitting the expo hall hard (by hard, I mean from the time I received my first cookie shipment until they closed the expo hall ), so I didn't think about the tournaments. I'll try to hit up that area as well
And DJ, hopefully you don't mind... I've been restocking with your cookies, they're almost gone now. Though another fellow Cookie Brigadier tossed some more in, so you've got about 1/5 of a box left, and most of that 1/5 aren't actually your cookies anymore. They loved your cookies, you did great!
So, we did a bit of a pre-count of money yesterday... just yesterday we got... well... a lot. I'm not sure if I can mention the numbers here yet, but thanks to everyone at PAX we raised a crapton of money for Child's Play!

Either that, or if someone has a clay oven, I'll make some Naan....

I hope I can still get one of those kickin' badges. >_>
WVI, the whole point of the Cookie Brigade was to supply BAKED cookies to the masses at PAX. We would still love your help handing them out though.
And DJ, that's AWESOME!

I can't believe how much efficiency that mixer provides. I just finished a 4.5 hour baking session and I now have 400+ cookies.
Taking a break, going to a birthday party, then I'm baking until one of the ingredients runs out...
Every cookie counts... and every cookie crumbles... and every cookie is YUMMY!

I tried finding the cookie brigade ninjas today, but they were too ninja-y for me.
