This is Wily from the NESkimos; I couldn't resist coming in here and throwing out a gigantic thank you to everyone at PAX--yes, every single person. Khoo, Brizzle the Stage Manager, Gabe and Tycho, thanks for having us and having the zanshin to manifest the big bold event that is PAX. Everyone who attended the event; thanks for being there and each being so awesome. It's truly a marvel to be surrounded by hordes of smart people, isn't it?

Mostly, thanks to everyone who rocked out with us on Friday. Being able to be with you all at PAX really has made everything worth it. Believe it or not, it's not the easiest thing in the world to find audiences here in the South who give two craps about video game music, so the chance to be a part of what is very much the epicenter of VG enthusiasm is, well, simply amazing.

Additionally, hanging out with our man Dave and his crew, as well as the fine crewmen of Sealab (commanded by Spook and Moe Fwacky), was of course stupendous, and I just have to say that it's amazing how much it feels like we have actually become friends even though we've hung out for only 2 weekends in as many years.

Can't wait for next year.

Smooches,
Wily

Hey Wily, Neskimos forum lurker here.

Was great to see you guys play, the new SMB3 tracks were fantastic. I was going to pick up some swag, but couldn't find your table, so my old Neskimos (fighting a bunch of ninjas and winning) t-shirt will have to do for now.

Good show, great way to end the night. A shame the crowd wasn't a bit more active, but for most people you're looking at a long drive or flight, followed by waiting in alot of lines, and then an entire day of gaming, so by about 1 A.M. most people are basically shot. Hope to see you guys again next year!

On a slightly related note, I desperately hope someone tries to shoot your new guitarist. Nothing personal, I just desperately want to see a small news story "Man tries to shoot Dog from Duck Hunt. Fails."

The crowd was pretty active where I was which was pretty much right in front of the middle of the stage. I was the guy in the chain maille yelling Monkey Island every now and then. I was also the person who yelled the Contra code when Wily wanted the code for Punch Out I didn't hear what Wily said after code people were being loud in my ears, but I can prolly find myself easily in the DVD

Apparently my friend Ooshka/Michelle briefly spent time with you guys when you returned victoriously to the Hyatt. She had good things to say.

    Thanks for the awesome show.

Unfortunately we didn't have anything to sell this year; a lot of things went horribly wrong during our preparations for the show (including the highly bummerific revelation that our drummer couldn't come). We were going to get new t-shirts made, and try to have our album done to sell, but it was not to be. It'll be available through the site, though.

I was actually blown away by the crowd; despite how exhausted everyone was (us included) it was the best response we've ever had. Mucho gratitudo.

Come again next year, I'll bribe some cute girls to spread themselves around the crowd and loudly discuss how they hate people who stand still at concerts.

As one of those guys down front rocking out (near the tall blonde who was front row both nights), I must say that your set was one of the highlights of the show. Great stuff Wily... pass on my fandom to the lads. I'll be stalking your site for that CD...

I can truely say I was looking forward to you guys the most out of all the bands. No offense to Frontalot, Rhyme, VGP, and the Minibosses, but you guys seriously know how to jam. Your stage persona rules as well. Made me glad I brought my saber to show support. I only wish you'd have started with the Star Wars Cantina of Fear, as that was my initial justification for saber-ation. Anywho. Can't wait for your CD. GET IT GOIN'!!!

    Thanks for being awesome.

Oh yeah, for the NESkimos and other performers, there were a ton of people watching in the BYOC room, cause we had a projector up there and could listen through a vent channel. Very great performance. Can't wait to see again next year.

Thanks, we do what we can, and next year we hope to make the Sealab party twice as big and three times as annoying to the surrounding non-PAX rooms. For those of you who haven't heard, our party drove somebody in the Hilton (either across the hall or next door, not sure which) to seek a refund from the hotel and check out in the middle of the night. That'll teach them to host a music box society convention the same weekend of PAX, muahahaha. You guys rocked the house down and we're glad you were there with us to make our last year in Bellevue monumental.

The party was really fun, even though Echo got kinda creeped out by all the guys hitting on her. Much thanks to you and Spook for the party management. It was really fun to hang out with the Neskimos and Frontalot, and NOT get thrown out this year. (last year there was a slapping incident that got several rooms evacuated)

I wish I was conscious enough to go to the party. I passed out on PolaGo at 2:30 am, saying "can it be time for sleep now please?" and didn't get up til 2 pm the next day.

I was in pretty rough shape at PAX, pain-wise (goddamn arthritis), and didn't really have much energy for parties.. aah well ..maybe next year :)
