The hotel contest gave the slogans, heres the pics of them freshly put up on pike street in front of the WSCTC.
Went to go have dinner downtown to take the pics :P when I was done I got some neat night pictures as well.
They did, however, reuse "All Hail Ball" which makes me smile.
That was my contest winner from last year. I hope they use that one forever.
I like that one too, but I think it's interesting that they use it, since it is more of an inside joke than any of the others. Most gamers should be able to get the others. There are probably a ton of PAX-go'ers that will never understand what (or should I say "who") Ball is.
Those banners are pretty epic! Man, is anyone else having trouble passing the time? Every time I visit the forums I see something else tht is awesome about PAX and can't wait for it to start!
I love Seattle, downtown is so beautiful during the night.
Over 9,000 Amazing points!
Now keep in mind im not anywhere close to a pro photographer, this is just me fucking around with settings on my camera, but that same night on the way home I stoped at gasworks park and took this:
Tonight, we live in fear, for alien writings have appeared in the skies over Seattle. Where they come from we do not know, but one thing's for sure: the city will never be the same again. Could this be a sign that an alien invasion is imminent? We think, yes. We urge you to hide your Bawls, citizens!
Sorry for the quality, all I had with me was my iPhone...

Bah, some threads got merged.
Also, any estimate on what time I should show up to get in line?
I want to get a bracelet, and time isn't really that big an issue, as i'm staying at a friends house who is less than a mile away.
I want to hit as many booths as I can before the crowd gets roaring.

The crowd will be roaring well before the doors open. There will be roughly one million people waiting in a winding, disney-style, turnbuckled line, waiting to get in. (then once they get in they will all go directly to the booth you were planning on going to)

What time should I get in line to get in?
Since it opens at 2pm on Friday, should I show up at like noon, or around 8?

This thread is so random. Multiple people asking about getting in line. Then Petsesalzl talks about jonxp again. What's going on? It's the Twilight Zone...

Now all we need is someone to talk about nazi's and this thread is truely random. Oh look! I just mentioned them! Brilliant!

hey speaking of wrist bands and being off topic, where do the wrist bands for the concerts get handed out? Is it just the opening line?

and coyotes, not the bar dancing ones mind you, the ones that go in your bacyard and dig up all the things you've burried back there. burried things that need to stay burried!

And they will hear the legend from those of us who did witness the Ball, and tell it to their sons, who will continue to do so through time immemorial.

Blasphemers! We must preserve the sacred scrolls!
Well, not the throwing away part. But the banners themselves are great!
I really don't see a reason that sort of thing probably couldn't be arranged, if the right city department was contacted.
Is the best one. Next year when i get a PC I can bring to the BYOC we should all play DragonRealms
Too bad they didnt put that banner right in front of the WSCTC door :P
That's much weaker than the others.

I must see them in person ^^

So I wonder who's organizing the After PAX dumpster-dive behind Seattle's city depot...
EDIT: I figure I'd better mention I'm not serious right now before someone panics.
quote for the mother effin truth. totally avoiding a giant workstation move because of PAX. \m/

Last year it was at the door. Walk in, get a wrist band (until the run out.)
If I'm remembering wrong someone can correct me.
i figured that's what it was, i just didn't get there early enough on Friday last year so I wasn't sure
