An amazing sense of accomplishment and a meeting with Fatality.

    There's a 1 in there somewhere.

Oh! And about 200 tickets. :)

It's actually quite clever, the 1 replaces the "I".

If you wait till near closing time, sometimes the people at the prize desk will let you get an extra plastic ninja star or parachute army man for free!

From the fact that you have posted all of twice on these forums, and asked what the "payout" for the tournament is, I assume you are some sort of "pro" gamer looking for some sort of "leet" tournament to pay your bills. If this is all you are looking for at PAX, then PAX is not for you, sorry. Tickets are redeemed at a prize booth for prizes. There is no cash prize.

If I'm wrong, I'm sorry to assume this. But I know there has already been one person of this nature asking about the Halo tournament this week. The tournaments at PAX are typically very casual in nature.

    Hmm. My post got eaten.

The Prize Redemption Counter has been a PAX staple from the beginning - do you remember those old school arcades where you could trade in your tickets for prizes? Well, instead of stale bubblegum or crappy plastic mood rings, you can get games, hardware, books, apparel - stuff you actually want.

Tickets are given out at official tournaments as well as other "events" throughout the show.

MLG Dewd: How much money will you give me if I spend a ton of money to get the best players to fly out to Seattle to beat down everyone?

All the PAX sponsored tournaments will give prizes/tickets. Off PAX "events" have their own special rewards for the "best" players.
