The PAX08 Pictures Thread!
DarkphibrePhotographer / Programmer / Data Scientist / GamerRegistered Userregular
Hello again everyone! It's that time of year to be taking photos, and now things are even more interesting. But I'll get to that in a bit... first:
If you upload your pictures to Flickr, be sure to tag it PAX08. That way we can all find the photos.
Whether you're uploading to your own site, or to Flickr, post it here. I'll update this entry with a list for easy perusal.
Now, the interesting bit!
Microsoft has finally made a public version of Photosynth! This means we can recreate areas of the convention with a collection of photos. I'll be taking a metric ton of them, but if you want me to include your photos in the synths I create, say so in the reply that contains the link to your photos. I'm taking a few days off work to go through my collections, but I'll see what I can do to grab photos from you to create community synths!

This thread's a good idea, but don't be surprised if it gets completely buried in the upcoming week and a half. Be prepared to either dig it out of the nether pages or recreate it after PAX is over. This is sort of a post-pax thing anyway.

I agree with Moe, however many of us have a flickr group in which we'll be posting all our pics already, so keep that in mind as there's already pics there. There's also another flickr group for PAX with some of us on it for some reason, so yeah...

Where are those PAX 08 banner pictures at? I'm going to find that thread and post those pics here.
The hotel contest gave the slogans, heres the pics of them freshly put up on pike street in front of the WSCTC.
Went to go have dinner downtown to take the pics :P when I was done I got some neat night pictures as well.

Yup! I'm a member of that Flickr group. But I've noticed that every year, people want to post pictures on their own servers/other services. This thread is to pull them all together.
Everyone:
Also, given Photosynth is now public, I need to know if I have permission to pull in your photos. It's opt-in only, and I don't know how great the community synths will turn out... but the more the better! Here's my PAX'07 synths. Let me know if you want to contribute your photos, even if you've tagged your set in Flickr PAX08.

That took me several minutes to find.
