Getting tickets at the event

A friend of mine wants to go to PaX, however he can't get there until around 7pm. Does anyone know if it's still possible to get a weekend pass at this time? Also, (other than lines) there shouldn't be any problem with getting passes for just Saturday on the day of, correct?
