Do you know where it came from? Because all the bison I've had comes from local ranches and it tastes amazing.
No idea. It came from r.g. Burgers which seemed like a nice enough place in a hippie part of town. Well, hippier part. It may just be that I haven't had red meat in so long that I haven't got the taste for it that I once did.
I looked through a couple pages of his portraits. It bothers me that he uses a different lens/filter/setting to photograph the men than the women.
He seems to just be using softer, warmer light.
It's about aesthetics. Certain guys can pull off harsh light that brings out skinflaws and wrinkles and such. It makes them look rugged. Women rarely look good under light like that. He's not a sexist or anything(well, he might be), he's just playing to aesthetics.

It's still discrimination.
He could shoot the men under the same light, and arguably, they'd look more aesthetically-appealing.
i just saw a post for some rich white person in the UES who wanted a chem tutor for her rich spoiled kid and was willing to pay $35/hr. so i responded. hopefully she will respond back... though she said she preferred a grad student (jeez, fucking rich people getting grad students to teach their dumb kids)
but that would be nice
1 day a week for the whole school year, 2 hrs at a time, $70 (non-taxed) in cash a week...
lady better respond to me and not be too stuck up for a 3rd year undergraduate to teach her spoiled dumb white child

After a certain point, discrimination ceases to be a bad thing.
Like using the most aesthetically pleasing light when taking a photo of someone instead of insisting on the EXACT same light every time. Or not wearing a tubetop when you're 400 pounds, DAMMIT FAT PEOPLE! :x:x:x
I'm just speaking from my deep-seated fear of what light would be most aesthetically-pleasing when used to take a picture of me, anyway
Generally speaking, should someone be trying to take a flattering picture of you, they're probably not going to go the rugged masculine tact.
But is that out of respect for the subject, or out of respect for the subject's actual appearance?
Well, it'd pretty be determined by what the photographer wanted. Strictly a photo meant to make the subject look good, something meant to make the subject happy, or a combination of the two.
