PAX Twitterers for the win! It was so fantastic to meet you all, I can't believe I actually connected with almost one hundred of you all over the three days. We had the most amazing time possible and I am so lucky I got to be everywhere at the conference at once because y'all were telling me what was going on all over the place.

@Buckwilson and his breakfast plans set us up for an epic Saturday, and do I even need to mention what a huge impact @tipist's idea of meeting at Belltown Billiards was? THAT PARTY WAS EPIC. SHAKE IT BABY!

Here are some of the ideas we talked about for next year to make it easier to meet up with our Twitter Shitter friends. What do you think?
  • @cwnight wants us to name our group of RL Twitterers the Twitter Shitters, see comic above.
  • Make a t-shirt for the group we can all buy before the show. We worked out a design of an outlined figure sitting on a toilet with an iPhone in it's hand doing the 'Blackberry Prayer' as it's called.
  • We should print stickers with a big @ sign on it and a blank where you can write your Twitter handle and your real name

For my part, I think if I could point to one single thing that really made PAX for me this year, it was using Twitter to share overheards, get the scoop on what was up wherever things were happening, and most importantly, to connect with our new friends.

I had always liked Twitter, but it wasn't until PAX that I realized its true potential. Twitter facilitated fucking magical experiences, and helped connect me to some people who I'm sure will be lifelong friends. I urge everyone to jump on the Twitter Train for next year.

I am sad I didn't get to meetup last night, but I passed out as soon as I hit the hotel.

I'm all for organized twittfulness next year.

Same here. I would have loved to meet you all, but after 4 days of PAX (starting with many of the PrePAX events thursday) I was just too exhausted. Read some of your twitshits from the meetup though, and it definately sounds like something I'll have to save some energy for next year!

Yeah, I'm sorry I missed out too, I caught some kind of killer infection that drained my energy. Next year I will be prepared!

Twitter created an awesome hive mind of information that was extremely useful during PAX. I have removed most people I added just prior to PAX (because it's just TOO much for normal life), but I'll definitely use it again next year to tap into The Collective.

I don't think Belltown Billiards will ever recover from the deluge of awesomeness that was our Twitter meet up. I can't wait to see everyone (and hopefully some new faces and tweets) at PAX next year.

Twitter was pretty cool although I can't see myself using it beyond something like PAX.

Wish I could have met some of you, I was dead after the show and had to wake up at 5 to catch my flight.

I have to remember to eat a full meal before going drinking with the twitterers again. You guys are hardcore. It was amazing to finally put faces to the names I've been watching in Twhirl for the past few months. I hope that you all continue to use Twitter even though PAX is over so that we can keep in touch.

Now I open the thread for "Best Tweet During PAX" nominations

Tom has an archive of most of the tweets so it's probably going to take him some time to get through them. I'll be checking my friendfeed when I get home today looking for gems. There were some good ones, mainly Overheards.

p.s.: my total bill for Sunday was us$0.00 -- I don't drink and the bartender gave me about 10 free sodas hahaha. I gave up after she said she'd have to start charging me.

Twitter was indeed born through a con (sxsw) and it is the con that powers the twitterverse. I had a blast, even though I missed the billiards g2g (I was doing other awesome things, so no regrets).

Coolest thing about PAX was meeting random people on the street and winding up spending most of the night chillin'. @cwknight is one social motherfugger.

Missed the meetup but was glad to keep up with all the comings and goings around me since you can't be everywhere at once. Also amused to share panels, concerts, whatnot and read all the differing views on it simultaneously!
