Hi guys. Alex got home last night and had nothing but glowing reports of meeting the forum-goers and PAX in general, and I just wanted to say thank you. I'm so glad he had a blast. Oh! And thanks for keeping him so exhausted he only called twice! In a week! :P
I think next year I'll have to come along.

PS - Also, to everyone who helped him get my anniversary present, HOLY @*$# THANK YOU. Seriously. Now all I have to do is meet Gaiman and have him sign it.

It was so fantastic that he came. Your husband is a good man and contributed to so many good causes. We all had a blast and hope to see you there next year as well.
I'm a huge Neil Gaiman fan, my dachshund's name is actually Oscar Lewis Gaiman, named after three of my g/f and mine's favorite authors What is it that he got you?

Seconded; what'd he get you? I'm also a big fan and read Gaiman's on-line blog. I even printed out the picture one of Gaiman's friends took of him and Jonathan Coulton at his Minneapolis concert last year and have it on my cube wall!
He's going to be on a signing tour soon for the Graveyard Book, maybe you can catch him at one of those to sign this mysterious (to me) gift.

Thanks for letting us have him!
Please do come along next year, Seattle (and everywhere really) needs more Gaiman/Vess fans.
Stardust is my absolute favorite. My original copy was pre-movie, but someone-who-shall-go-nameless borrowed it and never returned it. Not that I blame her too much. But I didn't replace it because all the new copies have the actors from the movie on it. Bleah.
So yeah, that's an awesome present. Every page is illustrated!

My wife is sad that you didn't make it, because she was looking forward to having another "Gamer Widow" to hang out with.

Stardust is great! I have a few copies of the book and was fortunate enough to see the movie adaptation win the Hugo Award for "Best Dramatic Presentation - Long Form" at the World Science Fiction Convention in early August.
I'm VThornheart... a bunch of the people here helped me win the BioWare Minion contest (because the people here are awesome!). I also helped create the PAX Countdown Vista Gadget, the Pre-PAX Magical Mystery Tour, and I was the guy running around with the giant Cookie Brigade box during PAX.
Hi astillac! Your husband is an incredible man. So fun to be around, so friendly, so good natured. He made PAX extra fun for me and did a great service to Child's Play via the Cookie Brigade. We would not have been nearly as successful without him on the team!

Your husband is an incredible person. There's really no other way to put it. You're so lucky to have such an easy-going, kind-hearted, wonderful person in your life. I hope you come next year ElectricTurtle and I would like to take you both out to dinner.

He's also fucking awesome. Any girl would be lucky to have him, and should throw herself at him every night. Sometimes twice a night.

Aye, aye, captain. <3<3
@DJBreslin & Astayonix: He's absolutely a stroke of luck in my life. He keeps me totally on course - and let's not think that's an easy thing to do. AND he's stayed married to me for two years now! Today! Happy anniversary babe! I forgot to tell you that this morning!
Man, I loved running into you guys! It was neat, we definitely did run into each other pretty much everywhere... which was especially cool because there was so many people at PAX! The odds seem staggering, yet we ran into each other quite frequently!
I'm so going next year. I think we should start a savings account for the express purpose of going to PAX. Also, those pictures reminded me: Will someone please convince him to get a tattoo! Those fake sleeves rocked.
lol Tr0tsky, you crack me up It was definitely good to meet you.
OH! And I should note, a bum wanted your button! He actually demanded that I give it to him (he pointed out yours specifically), and I told him "no way!" I'll give a bum money if they need it, but no way am I giving away your button!
EDIT: lol, I'm really unproductive at work today! Oy!
Aye, we should definitely start saving up, it'd be great to go next year! I don't know about a tattoo though... me and needles aren't good friends.

DUDE same thing happened to me, but somebody actually wanted to buy the TWEWY player pin from me, and I was like sorry man! I never found you though Trotsky, I was even at the dinner, but never got your pin... Oh well, we'll hopefully have better gatherings next year.

Aye, it was a little bit of a "whoa, what are you planning on DOING if I don't give you this button" moment for a second, until I realized I had like 10 people around me who'd get him off of me if he tried anything. He was like "Hey, hey! Give me that button!" and he walked right up to me and pointed straight at your button. I was like "Man, that's the only one I've got!" and he stood there for a second and then walked away.
This was at Dick's. There were many shady characters at Dick's that night. lol
Hey now don't be starting up a topic about how awesome vthornheart is without letting ME get my kicks into it.
So yeah, all it took was getting a copy of The Order of the Stick board game and dinner with the man for him for me to figure out what all the hub bub was over. Well that and the fact he was a ton of fun to hang out.
Next year dude, you and me need more time to paint that city mutha-fuckin-red.

Yay! Look me up next year. I'm one of those wives who hit the slippery slope a couple of years ago. (I'm sure there are several times he's wanted to kick himself for introducing me to WoW http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2001/01/08/ )
