Hi everyone. Just a few thoughts and then I'll move on.
First of all, a big thank-you to everyone who helped to explain this comic. This would have been my third PAX, but I was unable to make the trip across the continent due to deadline pressure this year. I therefore missed the do-the-comic panel, and was unable to deduce the meaning or humor in today's comic from a simple reading of the comic.
I don't know how to judge the objective comprehensibility of a comic, but to those who find the comic immediately straightforward, I would humbly suggest that the myriad plausible but mutually-exclusive interpretations that have been put forth in this thread should speak to a general lack of clarity in this one. Hey, it happens sometimes; they can't all be gems. If you didn't have this experience and immediately knew what was going on, congratulations!
On the larger issue of where we discuss the Penny Arcade comic on these forums: I was thankful for the sticky. But I did have to hunt around a bit; it wasn't immediately clear that Social Entropy++ is the place the "current comic" thread should live (like some others, I also made the assumption that since the PA comic is the serious business of this site, it would live in a serious business forum, such as Artist's Corner). So to those bashing people who are complaining about the location of this thread, let me, a humble and contrite n00b, prostrate myself before you and express my worthless opinion that, yes, this thread is hard to find. That doesn't mean it needs to be moved or pointed to more clearly, and with certainty we should lurk more; it is simply my personal observation on the issue.
Again, thank you for your help. I shall now return to my lurking, for this entire post is quite tl;dr and speaks to my general lack of understanding of the zen of foruming.
He was in London and I fucking missed his show which I still regret. Seems like it is just a cool show. PAX is definitely the perfect stage for his music. The RE: Brains video from pax is still great and I bet it was awesome to be there.

It is an insult used in the Star Wars extended universe books.
Gabe has made reference to his love for Star Wars many times over the years, and in the clear absence of another explanation this is obviously what Gabe and Tycho were intending with this strip.
The robot in this strip is (i assume) Bobber Fett who is a hunter of some kind (also from Star Wars)
I watched on Netflix Watch Instantly, it was decent. Rather than crossing my legs uncontrollably, I laughed hysterically every time some douchebag got his manhood scissored off.

Also, comic was comedy gold even if you had no idea who Johnathan Coulton is.
First panel = Tycho trying to get musician to the stage while said musicians trailer is rocking, referencing a well known cliche from the 60's.
Second panel = Typical PAX groupies exiting trailer. Presumably after the afore-mentioned implied sex.
Third Panel = Tycho being weirded out by Gabe's presence in said trailer.
