I've been wanting to get Wario Ware Smooth Moves ever since I played it at a distant friend's house, and I could have bought it online last year (can't now because prepaid credit cards were disabled for online purchases here for no good reason) but I didn't know it would be such an awesome game to be played with friends.
I can't find it at any local store now. Then I look it up at a local online auction site and I found it cheap for my country's standards. You can see what questions bidders have made to the seller, and one of them reads "Greetings, dude, I'm interested in Wario because I have a child and I've been told this is an excellent game for kids. So if it's still available and you could lower the price a little [note: Everyone asks for this on the auction site], we can do business."
My problem is: Should I let this guy buy the game instead of doing it myself? My justification for doing it is that the kid probably has a social life, and I don't have much of it (and I play too many games) but I'm planning on using the game for friend reunions (I have but a few friends who are gamers), which almost invalidates this point. Another justification is that I'm not doing anything right now since I have no job yet and I need to think before opening my own office since it's a big risk.
The kid's likely to be starting classes next week (assuming he hasn't already, which he may be and I know he goes to school because if you buy a legit game in this country you are sure to have money and not willing to let your kids miss education) and I'm going through a Specialization in Research Methology, but it's only two hours two days a week.
All of these are just assumptions that make me think I'd be getting more of the game than that kid would. But what if I'm wrong? I'd be taking away the kid's opportunity to play the game (although this makes me wonder why his console isn't chipped, since that's the most standard practice in this country).
What would you do if you were in my shoes? I've read about some people from PA giving away old consoles to children, but I honestly cannot bring myself to do that. If anything, I'd buy another used old console and give that to a poor child but not give away stuff that has sentimental value.
Another thing I could do is recommend another game that's "excellent for kids". But I have no idea what kids these days like.

Unless the kid is dying of cancer, I wouldn't feel bad about it. There are lots of games in the world.
But buy the fucking game already.

Now that you've said so, I AM overthinking this and it's making me laugh for being so silly that I had to ask in an internet forum what other people would do.
That's it, tomorrow first thing I'm going to do is get the money for the game. I loved it. I've been told that it also has a burned calories counter. Good to know but I'm already thin.
Thanks, all of you.
let me explain how the free market works
goods go to the person who is willing to pay more money
you are willing to pay more money
BINGO
Well, not quite, it's just the gimmick of one stage and it's not real Calories, but still.
Also, buy it because kids can have first dibs on games when they go on the internet and order them themselves.
