Heroes on NBC

I thought it was actually very good. To me it could be called Ubreakable: The Series. The Japanese guy is awesome, for him alone I am thinking of getting cable so I may watch this show. More likely I'll just wlak over to my neighbors on Monday night.
Really, though, I found it to be good. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the "secret government type guy who is following them all." I hate that kind of stuff.
I'm worried that it could end up becoming 'super-powered Lost'. Lost is a good show, but the mysteries are starting to irritate me, and I don't need another show like that.
I'm definitely going to be watching the show, and contrary to my previous post, and kind of excited for it. I know it looks like 4400 redux, but I think it might be different, tonally. I also like Greg Grunberg, and have yet to dislike a show that he's been in (Felicity, Alias, two episodes of Lost).

I thought NBC was one of those basic channels you didn't need cable for.

It is but it barely comes in at my house. I guess I could get rabbit ears, or some such sillyness, but it'll still look like crap. Half the reason I dopped cable was because of how terrible it looks on my HDTV. I figure we barely watch enough cable to warrent the monthly fee and we sure as shit don't watch enough to pay the price for digital cable so I just axed the whole dang thing.
[spoiler:03856c951a]The whole episode I was thinking to myself, "God I hope that kid can't fly and jumps off a building. Oh please, let it be so." [/spoiler:03856c951a]
You can always just tune in and see for yourself right now. The first episode is available online, though the quality leaves something to be desired.
I think I will wait until I can watch it in HD
That was more for people like Jordyn, who either can't or won't be available when it airs and are still possibly interested.
As far as my impressions, it wasn't half bad. A bit rough, and I'm not sure I'm completely on board, but I'll give it a bit of time to breath and see if it finds its stride. Some of the more untraditional powers have the potential to be interesting. It leads into Studio 60, so it's not too big a stretch for me to catch it.
A network channel comes up with a show I might actually be interested in and when do they air it?
Monday fucking night.
Fuck you NBC.
Fuck you so hard.
Tivo or Tape it?
What other activities are you up to on Monday night, young lady?
Watching football, while Framling cooks supper.
Fuck football.
Why do you think she'll be so busy? :winky:
I already said, I watch football while Framling cooks supper. Jeesh.
First- Yay Fram for cooking. I do a great majority of it in our house, and my girl loves me for it. You better keep that one.
B- As was said: Tivo or VCR? That way, you can catch it Tuesday at 6, before Sci-fi shows back to back Dead Like Me at 7 & 8 and then Eureka at 9. A full evening, methinks.
So, that was pretty good. The Japanese guy really stole the show as far as I'm concerned, and while the rest of it wasn't quite as fantastic as I had hoped, I still enjoyed myself and will continue to watch every week. Also, realizing that the art was done by Tim Sale was totally awesome.

I mean I have no idea, I've never read it. But I'm entitled to an opinion based on absolutely nothing, right? I mean, I've seen PICTURES of Frankenstein, that counts.
He never said that the show was terrible guys, he just said that this would have been a good chance to try to legitimize animation as a serious artform.

And she's not really invincible, she's more like Wolverine - she gets hurt but she's got that "healing factor" going on.
....meh.

We don't have Tivo, but I suppose I can break out the VCR again. I guess.

"USE THE DEATH GRIP, SPOCK! THE DEATH GRIP!"
"Where did you learn this?"
"X-Men 143 when Kitty Pryde time travels."
I got a huge Seven Soldiers vibe from it.
While I'm of the opinion that animation is the only way to do comic book movies/shows, this show would only work as live action
Then don't piss on it, dick.
I mean, I know you hate everything popular, but I thought you actually knew the stuff first. Guess not.
but you haven't seen it, so you don't know if you like it, so you're being a dick
