YTCracker for PAX 2009!

I'd like to start off by saying that PAX 2008 was amazing! It was my first PAX and definitely not my last!

But anyways, for those of you who like MC Frontalot and mc chris (Too bad he couldn't come), had anyone heard of YTCracker? (Pronounced Whitey-Cracker...lol) He is another Nerdcore rapper, he raps over 8-bit tracks like Bubble man off Megaman 2, and the Legend of Zelda theme etc.

But I was thinking he should come to PAX 2009, if there is a space for him. I really like his music and I think he would be a awesome addition to PAX.

You can listen and download like half his tracks off Last.fm (http://www.last.fm/music/YTCracker)

Listen to some of his tracks and post if you think he should or shouldn't come to PAX 09.

Feel free to check it out if you like Warhammer or randomness. We are quite small at the moment, but we plan to get our own domain name and grow exponentially.

I was going to ask Gabe and Tycho at the second Q&A Panel but me and my friend slept in D:

If enough people said that he should come, would this thread gain enough notice for Gabe/Tycho to notice it? Or is there a way to contact them directly. (If enough people think YTCracker should come)

Just wait. As the forum switches in focus from 08 to 09 (happens about the first of the year), you'll see a thread about what musical acts should be brought for 09.

I know myself and some other locals tried to contact people about playing at pax 08 (up to 8 months in advance) and never heard anything back. In fact, one guy just brought his act on to the sidewalk of the convention center with a car battery and an LSDJ rom and went to town. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFmimAbDHrs not much of a "performer" but still entertaining nontheless.

Yeah I remember seeing that guy. I wanted to stay and watch for longer but my friend wanted to do other stuff lol.

I need to find out how he did that though, the music you can make this that is awesome.

I wouldn't mind seeing him, though I've only heard a bit of his stuff. I did like his Guild Wars rap though.

But I actually remember him being at PAX07, he had some little party downtown or something, I don't remember anything else, lol.

Wow that's cool. Too bad I wasn't at the last PAX. I hope he comes next year or something though. Later in the year I'll try to contact someone in Penny Arcade to talk about him.

I don't think he did anything at PAX last year, he was just there... he did something somewhere in Seattle about that time though

What song is he covering here? I have this song, but I can't for the life of me remember what it is.

edit: it's on Daft Punk's live set Alive 2007. Don't know the track, though. Hm...
edit again : it's Too Long / Steam Machine from the live set. I think this is a synth unique to the Alive album.

he's using LSDJ for the Gameboy.
