EDIT: A few of us in Reno have decided to put together an awesome winter party for everybody. Check out this thread for details: http://forums.penny-arcade.com/showthread.php?p=7154542#post7154542
Everybody in Seattle and L.A. keeps talking about getting together for stupid parties and fun. What the hell, right? Just because they all live in one city they think they can find each other and have fun? WTF?
So, if you're in the Bay Area, or Northern California, or anywhere nearby close enough to drive there and hang out, post here. We'll come up with something totally awesome and upstage those assholes.
(BTW, I'm in Reno, NV, but I'm hungry for fun. I'll drive to San Francisco or something.)

...You're willing to drive from Reno to The City?? Okie. Sounds good. I don't know when--since I work M-F from 8AM to 5PM...but setting up one would be good.
Tell that to the paxtrain people in LA.
I'm in the bay area. I've always wondered, what does one do at these outside of PAX meetups? Do we just find something to wait in line for? Or do we load up picto chat and draw wangs? If it's the latter, I must admit, I haven't have time to perfect that skill, this was my first year. ;-)
I LOVE waiting in line while picto-chatting!
....Dude. I live in Fairfield, too...
What a crazy random happenstance.
Of course we missed Freezepop (they were in SF on Monday), but we should keep an eye out for future PAX-style events. There are a ton of good places for meetups. The Metreon would be good for gaming goodness. Or have you been to the ACTUAL penny arcade at the Wharf? It's at the Musee Mechanique.
And if we bring our DSes and TWEWY along, maybe we can get some more mingle points.
I'm in Sacramento... and though I probably wouldn't be able to go over to San Francisco, if a future Post/Pre-PAX party is in the works in Sactown, bring it on!

Yay! And I apologize for making your name Tadpole on the button checklist XD
Meh. You just know better for next time! ^_^
Speaking of Fairfield, though, my wife has been hounding me about going to that damned Jelly Belly factory...
If everyone's old enough to raid the casinos, I know my wife would be down for that. Free booze (even if watered down) FTW!
Of course if you come to Reno, we have casinos. And other stuff.
Bambooza, are you in Reno?

Does that mean you and your friends aren't coming?
I'm not up for a pub crawl either, not my kinda thing. Sounds like most people posting here aren't coming on the 20th =[
Since several of the people are 2+ hours away, it makes sense that they're probably not interested for a dinner. I'm not all that interested in running out to Reno for dinner myself. That's just the logistics of the situation.
But I'm interested for the 20th in SF.
i'm in sacramento too
can't show up anywhere on the 20th....i'm moving into my first apartment!

I'm ok with the Metreon idea, even if they seem to have lost some of the cooler gaming attractions. Pub crawl or something similar after would be fine, although I don't drink. Not for moral reasons or anything. Alcohol gives me headaches. Like, right after the first drink.
Honestly, though, I'd like to see if we can come up with something more creative and then find a date when all/most/at least some could be there. Maybe find a bank of machines at an arcade and do a tournament or something like that.
In all fairness, this could just be an obsessive need for a plan on my part...
Indeed. And I think there is one more in Reno.
yep Rygar but I have not seen him post in ages.
Oh, congrats Milli!
This reminds me, we should have one more event in Sacramento itself before I cruise east!
Lunch, anyone?
Lunch in Sacramento is good. I'm also in Reno for work a couple times a month so I could be there as well. The rest of this month is bad though. I'm getting married on the 27th.
Down with the lunch before you cruise to the East.
And I am a go with Saturday in the City. ...Still at that place on Bush? Or at the Metreon? Rather confuzzled...
I don't think so =/. Plus I think I would freak them out if I offered up the idea of meeting people from the internet, even if they are fellow PAXers.
