The film makes a number of fairly dramatic adjustments to the storyline of the original epic poem.

-In the epic poem, Beowulf fights hand-to-hand with Grendel. In the film, Beowulf uses a quadruple crossbow that fires explosive bolts.

I think that was the original intent of the poetry scribe.

Mammoth was the best Scifi channel movie.

Dead & Deader and Death Machine were great too but I don't know if they were Scifi originals.

    THIS IS MY THREAD

    I LOVE THIS THREAD

There was a period of time where I could not get to sleep unless one of these was on the TV. No one else in my apartment likes watching these and I have no idea why.

This is a god damn lie and I am going to go downstairs and beat the shit out of you right now for saying this shit. I was watching these movies long before you came along. Motherfucking Ice and another movie called... Fire I think? About solar flares making the earth too hot. Snakehead terror and goddamn Frankenfish. And dont even get me started on the newbies like Rock Monster.

I read a sorta kinda not really sci fi story about a girl living in a christian mission on an alien planet.

They burned her at the stake as part of a ceremony.

It was in analog I think. I forget how I even had a subscription to that.

The French Resistance make 'Allo 'Allo cast members look like something from a documentary, for a start

And the British paratroopers are just so stereotypical they seem like they came from a 1940's propaganda film by the BBC

Does anyone remember a movie with a laser tag game involving a robot like looked like a combination of ROB and a roomba?

Then the robot became a dick and started shooting knives at the kids.

Then at the climactic end battle, the kid shoots the robot with a laser tag gun and the robot explodes.

    Yes, it fucking explodes

Yeah but after watching Reign of Fire right before it

it's like pulling out after anal to find shit on your dick, and finding out it was an actually a dude, and then finding it out it was actually a spoiled reuben sandwich, and then finding out it was made with 12 grain bread with the nasty ass pieces of sunflower seed in em.

My only regret is that it did not live up to the trailer which featured massive dragons vs. apache helicopter and tank battles.

    AND DRAGON WARS DOESN'T COUNT

It was like one damn giant cobra and a bunch of pterodans flying around. There wasn't any actual dragon warring going on until the last 15 minutes

well, Beowulf had a dragon in it too

so maybe Reign of Fire's only the second best film with dragons in it

Dragon Wars' trailer looked so good

It was pretty clearly going to be terrible. The trailer was the quality of a typical Sci-fi TV movie.

If you went into the film expecting good cinema, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Dragonheart was on TV today. I caught a glimpse of Bowen and Draco during their stalemate where he's sitting in Draco's mouth.

It was so funny, with Draco talking without his tongue, and Bowen bouncing up and down everytime Draco tried to speak.
