let's release a new version of the same thing every year so that people buy the same system every year
fuck nintendo
You don't have to buy it, fuckstick.
You do need to shut the fuck up, though.
oh look it's sarukun sticking his dumb nose where it doesn't belong
color me shocked and blow me, faggot
He makes a valid point though.
Nintendo is on a really bad trend of rehashing the same shit over and over lately. I mean, they were known to do it for a little bit but now it's just getting fucking OLD.

It's supply and demand
They do it because it's proven to work for them. People buy all these iterations, and in large numbers
Same reason Apple comes out with new variations of products every year
It's just i heard someone talking about this today they were like "god this is like the THIRD DS now...godddd"
People are evidently fine with there being 3 versions of the PSP... because they don't want any version.
Well for the most part yeah, it's about the games.
I mean, at the end of the day re-releasing the same system with the sole intention to put VC on it and allow players to buy games over and over again is just a slap in the face. How many of us own these games already for 1) The original system 2) The GBA versions 3) The VC versions 4) and soon the DS versions.
The Camera is a gimick and all they did was give us a SLIGHTLY bigger screen. Like fuck, come on now, I want to see something new with new games.

how old is the DS platform now anyway? I'd think before too long they'd come out with an entirely new handheld.
Hmm, according to wikipedia the DS came out 4 years ago. The Gameboy advance came out 3 years prior to that. Seems like it's a risky proposition to buy the DSi.
i entertained the idea of getting a dslite on several occasions
but there is really nothing about this dsi that i want
especially since it lacks the GBA slot
also wow whoever okayed that ad totally does not work there anymore
I've been wanting a Lite pretty badly so I might just get one of those unless the price is right.
Also, are we just assuming the "i" in DSi stands for Interactive? My girlfriend said it probably stands for iPod.
Beat her.
She's basically right, though. Nintendo's marketing scheme looks like it's based on Apple's.
Sony's also been doing the same thing with the PSP
I'm referring more to their strategy starting with the release of the Wii. I'm not really talking about releasing incrementally-improved versions of their handheld platform. Though that does fit the Apple mold.

DSi owners will be able to use special software to fully edit pictures snapped with the camera using the stylus and the device's touch-screen. (We originally translated that DSi's screens were both touch compatible, but that is reportedly incorrect.) That's another big addition -- both screens of DSi will be touch-compatible

And they just make it thinner and shinier each time.
I am saying that Nintendo is getting out of control with this shit.
HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES MUST I BUY SUPER MARIO WORLD?
(and PSP only has 2 version if I remember correctly, which aren't forcing "classic" games to be bought 100 times over)

Okay.

But fucking aye, something new would be nice.

Original.
PSP Slim and Lite.
and then the new one PSP slimmer and liter aka. PSP 3000 or something
Fuck buying a PSP 3000 though, for what, slightly better video quality?
but there is really nothing about this dsi that i want

0, now shut the fuck up.

You are so quick to tell people to shut the fuck up that you miss the point entirely. So please just die you silly cunt.

YOU MALIGNED NINTENDO. DIE IN THE BURNING FIRES OF HELL YOU DOG.
isn't there another thread you can troll
Wii: 5024 6786 2934 2806 | Steam/XBL: Arcibi | FFXI: Arcibi / Bahamut
that wasn't trolling, that was me antagonizing sarukun for his touchy corporate loyalty
i have not even begun to troll
Seriously.
but then nintendo could release games that let two people play on opposite sides of a single DS with the touchscreens
these games will paradoxically require two DSis and two copies of the game to play

Uhhhhh maybe
I don't see how it would be detrimental
that's great journalism right there, Lou.
