How's the netcode? XML2 was utterly unplayable online. The network code was quite possibly the worst I've ever seen. Add in the absolutely miserable character balance and the fact that a good 1/3 of the characters in the game were literally clones of each other (e.g. Pyro/Sunspot, Wolverine/Sabertooth) or just a half-assed amalgam of other characters' lousy skills (e.g. Deadpool), and the game was a tremendous letdown.

Ultimate Alliance sounds good, but after XML2, I'm hugely skeptical.

Wow, you're the first person I've seen that shares this opinion.

If it helps, looking at the attack list for M:UA, everyone has completely unique powers.

Hulk is NOT in the game, Activision didn't have the rights to the Hulk License durring the game's production. Bruce Banner is in the game as an NPC.

Also, I have a question.

Was I supposed to take time out in X-Men Legends to visit the danger room, and go back to old levels, and things like that in order to level? Since I was playing it with a group, we just tanked through the first few hours until our characters were too underdeveloped to last in battle.

This game is supposed to be more suited to a straight run-through, correct?

Agreed, even new costumes would be welcome for the right price. This sort of game is the type where microtransactions would be a good thing since it already has a pretty strong cast.

Imagine a Fire Pro game on the 360. Spike was putting out new characters, roster updates and new moves like three years after the game came out. Totally awesome.
