I enjoyed the resident evil movies. They get progressively worse though so it's ok to quit after the first. Dawn of the dead is great, saw the remake yesterday and it is also great. Plus a third vote for Shaun of the dead.
When I was a little kid, I always pretended I was the hero,' Skip said.
'Fuck yeah, me too. What little kid ever pretended to be part of the lynch-mob?'
28 Days Later is good, although they're not actually zombies, they're close enough.
28 Weeks Later is mediocre at best, definitely didn't live up to the first one at all.
Hell of the Living Dead (aka Night of the Zombies)
Nightmare City (aka City of the Walking Dead)
Zombi (aka Zombie aka Zombi 2 aka Zombie Flesh Eaters)
Asian Zombie Movies:
- Biozombie
- Wild Zero
- Stacy
- Junk
Although its not a Zombie movie, 30 days of Night has the same feel as a zombie movie. The isolation, moving from hiding spot to hiding spot. I loved it.
I second most of those films already mentioned, though I'll add a few more:
-Undead (Slightly camp Aussie horror film featuring a triple barrelled shotgun)
-Dead Set (More of a TV film that has just finished its run over here in the UK, zombie outbreak set in Big Brother house, though you'll only really be able to watch it with less legit methods)
-Braindead
E4 (a channel in the UK) just finished showing a mini series based on Zombies attacking during the filming of Big Brother and the contestants (and a few choice characters) being the only survivors. I haven't seen the last episode yet, but it was good! It's 5 episodes, all 30 minutes but for the first one (hour special).
It's called Dead Set. The DVD goes on sale soon but you might be able to find a place to watch it online. Not sure if 4oD works for you.
Dead Alive, or 'Braindead' which is apparently it's actual title, was directed by Peter Jackson. Wikipedia says it is the goriest movie ever (used the most fake blood). It is really over the top to the point of being funny; one guy uses a lawn mower to take down a room of zombies.

What no recommendation for the recent epic: Zombie Strippers?
Seriously though avoid it at all costs. Its total shit.:x
But I recommend the 28 movies and Dawn of the Dead along with the rest of the crowd. Fast zombies > Slow Zombies.

Saw in theaters, it was very disappointing.
Eh, they're more like a zombie/vampire hybrid.
C.H.U.D too. Total 80's fest.

And the ORIGINAL Dawn of the Dead. Remake is shit.
Dawn of the Dead (Both versions)
Day of the Dead
Technically the Evil Dead movies don't count as "zombie" movies, but they have gorey undead stuff.
Also the Reanimator movies aren't classical "zombie" movies, but are must-see.

I haven't seen it, but Hard Rock Zombies intrigues me for the same reasons.
I liked Part 2. Three was a bit different, but still awesome nonetheless. The first one is a classic.
I agree with 4 and 5. They are pure shit and avoid them at all costs.

Yeah it kinda sucked. It's the only zombie-related film I know, though, besides Shaun of the Dead.
Splinter was just put into limited release in theaters, but probably won't make it's way wide.
However, if you have On Demand service from your cable provider, you can find it under Advanced Screening. It won't be there long, though.
It's a great movie, though not your average zombie flick. However, it does deal with reanimation, infection, trapped in a building, etc.
