Now that things suddenly seem to be going really well with this girl I feel kinda weird about texting an ex of mine yesterday to meet up and patch things up...
God dammit life.
I solved this problem by completely ignoring my ex's existence and cuddling up to the rift between us like a soft wool blanket.
Like, we became ex's just because we drifted apart due to some silly outside factors. Like, I feel bad that I just let things fall apart with no real explanation. It wasn't a bad break or anything it just...ended.
I'd be loathe to just fall out of communication with her again.

My LA plans may be put on some serious hold. I just applied for an internship in Washington that would lead to a job that would have me spending 2-3 years at a time overseas.

I applied for an internship/scholarship package with the NCS. If I get it they pay for my tuition, my books, my supplies, plus give me an annual salary and full benefits, and have me work 90-day internships at a facility in DC, with free transportation and a housing allowance. Then after I graduate they send me to Virginia where I stay for a year for training and, after another five years with a wicked-awesome job they set me up with, I'm free to leave or, if I am so inclined, continue working for them. When I'm on the job I'll be in either Washington, or somewhere overseas.
This is, of course, if I get in. It is extremely competitive.

Res: I was thinking of applying for ASIO if I got a degree and got bored with research.
I could never be a social worker or a clinical psychiatrist. My personal manner is just too off. People will come in and be all "I have a problem" and in trying to help them I'd make it seem like I'm going "Do you? Do you really? You weak creature! Just kill yourself!"
And then they would it'd be terrible.
So I've banned myself from the easy money.

That's what it said on an ad they had up in the maths building at uni. Although that was targeting people doing cryptography and stuff, not psych.
I figure the business would be responsible to the building/mall for the glass and doors and such, as they have a contract and whatnot. But would those guys' business be responsible to the car owner, too?
