I think Eva is godawful and probably the worst anime I've seen. And yet here we are, a 100 page thread and not a single one of them devoted to my hate for Evangelion. Simon having to choose between Nia and the universe is the last step of this. Choosing to give up on his quest would've made him just like Rossiu's priest, Lord Genome, and the Anti Spirals. Instead, he accepted that Nia's death was the price of victory.
