Last night a Mr. Corey Hill had has right leg rearranged into something more closely resembling wet spaghetti than a human skeletal structure. Obviously the above image is censored to avoid offending any person or common shipping container often used for the transport of posters or other rolled material.

If we can have the UFC why can't we have Roman-style gladiator fights? Just have the fighters sign a waiver and offer huge cash prizes and people will sign right up to fight/kill each other & also such as bears, lions.

I used to watch this back when there weren't any weight classes and everyone only used a specific martial art.

It was awesome in the early days because it was more like Street Fighter.

Now everyone has a very similar fighting style (because it's what works) and there are weight classes and everyone has almost the same body type.

I miss the sumo wrestler vs. capoeria type matches.

Still pretty exciting though.

How has Brock been doing? I don't follow UFC stuff, but I'm just kinda interested because he used to be a 'rassler.



He's huge, but he also tended to have an ego to match, so it seemed like the kinda situation where he thought he would be all badass and then get trampled all over the place. Has he done well at all?

lesner beat randy couture and became the ufc heavyweight champion, actually. but he still has to fight one of the toughest dudes in the world (big nog) to be the undisputed champion, or soemthing. its kinda dumb having an interim champion, but business stuff got in the way. he's still rough around the edges, and is susceptible to bbj and junk, but he has so much power and basically just bum rushes opponents. makes for a fun watch, at least

Seriously I have never seen a guy that good on the ground. He's insane. He's like, two or three moves ahead of the other guy at all times AND he has the strength, speed and flexibility to go with it.

Yeah, I read an interview with him in Muscle & Fitness when he was getting ready to make his debut in the UFC, and he seemed like a pretty down-to-earth guy from the article. He does seem to have a workman's drive to succeed at whatever he does, so maybe that can be interpreted as an "ego."

Either way, yeah, he looks pretty good in the UFC so far. His wrestling background an his phenomenal size/speed have gone a long way. From what I've seen, he'll probably only get better.
