So I cleaned out an old closet at my folks' place, and I found this:
I wish I still had this, but it's long gone:
I also found this, and I've never played it. Pieces still in the cardboard frames
Also, I have in my posession Starship Troopers, the hexagonal wargame, with a message from the man himself on the back of the box!
Finally, I found the huge and stupidly complicated Conquest of the Empire:
I also found World War 3, another Avalon Hill hex game that I never played, as well as Axis and Allies. I used to have Fortress America but where the hell did that ever go?
Some of these are older than I am...Anyone want to get a plane ticket? I'll get the case of beer.
Anyway...I spent the evening playin Civilization 2 on my computer. Woo

Last time I played I had the strongest piece on the board, but managed to lose. You see, the shitty Christian Brother's brandy got to me before I could get to the flag.
On another note...me and a couple of my brothers-in law played a game of serious Risk over Christmas. Shit you guys, I forgot that it can take like 4 hours to finish a longer game.
Edit: What the fuck? What's this then
Edit: I guess it sucks.
Yes, I will find it for you cause online boardgames are the shit.

Oh, and I found some scribblings my dad made back in the 70's before he had to worry about me. He used to create games (that him and his friends would actually play, like for reals)...Some of this stuff seriously looks like a Side Meier design doc.
everyone has played with it a few times, only to discard it and never think about it for years?
I have one called nightmare...it's really weird. Basically there's this Darth Sidious looking dude on the screen at all times (You're supposed to play in a dark area, I guess), and he acts kind of like the DM. You basically play the game while he sit and taunts you and fucks you over. Ex) He'll yell, STOP! Whatever maggot's turn it is, muahaha, send your character to the crypt!"
I can't remember if it was good or not...probably not at all....but you gotta admit the premise is fun.
clever phrase dismissing your penis?
It's fucking awesome. My dad rants about how good it is as well, and he's like 60 goddamn years old.
it is damned awesome except for the fact that by the end of the dungeon the players get ridiculously overpowered items and basically one-shot the boss which is rather stupid...
I never played it, but I saw some of the tape on Youtube, and it looked pretty stellar.
I made a TD for iphone and windows phone!
He starts off like...
but as the game goes on, he starts to like...rot basically and he gets more crazy

Dog you just made me feel really bad. I Goodwill'd my hero quest set like, just yesterday. I couldn't really remember if it was any good, as I had only gotten people together to play once.
Didn't know people had even really played that game.
awesome
and meta thanks for the other one but I've tried it before and it's pretty shitty
Man my dad works 10 hours a day at a pharmacy, comes home, and plays Age of Empires.
He's alright.
Yeah This ones really awesome, I forgot where I used too play and it happens too be Mechmantisss links
So Hurraaaaay
that game is radtacular if you can get enough people
We were always playing either that, or Blood Bowl. Advanced Hero Quest was awful though, with its jigsaw piece boards and Skaven. Nothing but Skaven.
Hero quest was fun though
I will kill the next fucker who is selling the female barbarian or that other set for hundreds of dollars
I got rid of Dragon Strike a long time ago, too...
