I used to own a space board game

it was RIDICULOUSLY complex for child-me to understand
no idea what it was called but I think I'd recognize it if I saw it

    Was it Solarquest?

    SolarquestBoard.jpg

If not, it should have been. That game was rad. And it's the easiest game in the world to sell to new players. "It's Monopoly in space with lasers." Bam. Right there, they know exactly how much they want to play it.

Also, you burned fuel by moving around and you could get marooned on a planet and lose. And if you were low on fuel and the person who owned the planet you were on hadn't installed a fuel station, you could force them to sell it to you because they were negligent tenants.

Dammit, now I really want to play.

I fucking hate Scrabble. But that's because I have bad memories of my sister taking 10-15 minutes on her turn to pick a word, even when we used a timer.
