    Barry's got his rape-face on.

The JSA cover looks nice enough, and it's always cool to see the Hourmandroid and Jack Knight.

I do think it's kind of funny that, after having a teaser cover for Teen Titans in the last batch of solicitations, for this round they were just like, "Eh fuck it, here they are. Anyone still reading this shit?"

Hah, I didn't even notice. I just figured it was a big, "So here are a bunch of old JSAers all assembled, continuity be damned," kind of cover.

And I'm wondering if Hoodie Kid isn't Red Devil, sans demonic powers. I keep looking at the emblem on the sleeve of his jacket, but I don't recognize it.

On the Annual cover it looks like Wonder Girl's logo

on the Titans cover there's nothing there.

I hadn't even thought of Red Devil

Because the idea of an undead vampire rockstar superhero is kinda cool. :|

It's a fucking disgrace what they've done to Teen Titans. It used to be one of the best books DC put out. But it has been terribad since just before Infinite Crisis. And it's just gotten worse since then. And that makes me sad.

What are you talking about? Titans Around the World was after OYL and it was fantastic. It didn't turn to shit until Johns left and Beechen took over. And it's actually gotten better since McKeever took over. Though going from utter shit to normal shit isn't much of a compliment...

Didn't Geoff Johns talk about how he wanted to write Teen Titans again at a con last year? I really wish they'd kick McKeever off the book, cancel Titans and get him to write it again. Oh and he could redesign Kid Devil and Wonder Girl too becaise they're latest redesigns are horrendous.

    Anyway, what the fuck?
    THE FLASH: REBIRTH #1
    Written by Geoff Johns
Art and covers by Ethan Van Sciver
Through the decades, many heroes have taken the mantle of The Flash, but they all ride the lightning that crackles in the wake of the greatest hero the DC Universe has ever known, the man who sacrificed himself to save the Multiverse: Barry Allen!
Following the events of FINAL CRISIS, Barry has beaten death and returned to a fast-paced world that a man out of time wouldn’t recognize. Or is it a world that is only just now catching up? All the running he’s done before was just a warmup for the high-speed race that he and every other Flash must now run, because even though one speedster might have beaten death, another has just turned up dead! From Geoff Johns and Ethan Van Sciver, the visionaries responsible for the blockbuster GREEN LANTERN: REBIRTH and THE SINESTRO CORPS WAR, comes the start of an explosive and jaw-dropping epic that will reintroduce to the modern age the hero who single-handedly birthed the Silver Age of comics! DC history will be made, and the Flash legacy will be redefined!
Retailers please note: This issue will ship with two covers. For every 25 copies of the Standard Edition (with a cover by Ethan Van Sciver), retailers may order one copy of the Variant Edition (with a cover by Ethan Van Sciver). Please see the Previews Order Form for more information.

So Beechen and McKeever are terrible writers and can't seem to settle on a team, how does that in anyway make the previous story bad? If they stayed with the Titans Around the World team (like Johns intended), would it've been good then?

You mean if it had been a completely different story with different characters and a different plot? yeah, probably. Couldn't have been worse.

They even fucked up the evil Titans from the future, and I fucking loved that original story.

Was that referenced at all when Rival showed up in JSA years ago? I thought he actually possessed Jay later on. Or maybe I'm thinking about something that happened in Flash or Impulse. I'm kind of hazy on all that.

Anyhow, I'm 90% sure Inertia's the dead speedster being referenced. It would make sense to follow up on Rogues' Revenge with the new Flash series, and with all of Johns' talk about doing the same thing for Flash that he did for Green Lantern, I don't see him getting rid of any of the current speedsters. If anything, I see him bringing Johnny and Max out of Speed Force limbo. Which I'd love by the way. I think they're both characters that have interesting things to contribute to the Flash mythos, with their opposing viewpoints on the Speed Force.

SEAGUY: THE SLAVES OF MICKEY EYE #1
    Written by Grant Morrison
Art and cover by Cameron Stewart
In 2008 alone, superstar writer Grant Morrison killed Batman, put the entire DC Universe through its FINAL CRISIS and concluded the unanimously beloved ALL-STAR SUPERMAN. But what does a writer who’s written every significant Super Hero do when he can create any Super Hero he wants? The answer, of course, is SEAGUY! Morrison (THE INVISIBLES) rejoins original SEAGUY artist Cameron Stewart (SEVEN SOLDIERS) in an all-new adventure starring the cult-favorite character!
In Seaguy’s cartoon future world, everyone is a Super Hero and no one dies. It’s absolutely perfect...Or is it? In this follow-up to the cult 2004 miniseries, Seaguy resurfaces with a sinister new partner, a hatred of the sea and a rebel restlessness he can’t explain. Why are Doc Hero and his ex-archenemy Silvan Niltoid, the Alien from Planet Earth, whispering strange equations? Why is Death so useless? And can that really be the ghost of Chubby Da Choona mumbling uncanny warnings and dire prophecies of ultimate catastrophe?
When the grotesque powers lurking behind the corporation known as Mickey Eye and the Happy Group attempt to erase Seaguy’s entire existence, can he possibly get it together in time to save a world so far gone it can’t even imagine the horror lying in wait? Find out here in Morrison’s own personal reframing of the Super Hero concept for the 21st century.

Man, DC's solicits are full of a whole bunch of shit I don't care about. Even GLC and Booster Gold look kind of boring. Though it's probably because DC's focusing really heavily on Batman and Superman right now, and I don't really follow either character in their monthly books.

However, the new Seaguy's finally coming out, and they're reprinting some old issues of Impulse and Static in TPBs, so that's awesome.
