There was only one episode of Arrested Development that fell into "just pretty good" territory - the one with Martin Short.
The man is terrible.
That wasn't the one with "The Human Bullet" or whatever, was it? THAT was the worst episode ever.
The Human Bullet, aka Uncle Jack, aka Martin Short.
Terrible.
Basically every scene without him in it was good though - really it's a testament to the show's greatness that they managed to be that good even with him around. The opening scene for the episode is still hilarious.

Man, that episode was the weak point of the series and you know it. They still did a fantastic job considering the load that is Martin Short, but his particular brand of prat-fall unhumor is just clashes terribly with everything around him.

nah go to hell martin short was great that episode is great anyone who thinks it's not is dumb
Martin Short was at the funniest I'd ever seen him in that episode.
He was still pretty awful.
The opening scene was wonderful though: "You really shouldn't do air quotes when you're drinking." and "Gangi had an accident." "Does this mean she'll have to live with us?"
McCly's avatar reminds me: there are two bits on Veronica Mars that I'm almost certain must be Arrested Development references.
Namely, they use the "don't call it that" bit when Keith Mars calls it the "O.C." and at one point in the last season Veronica's talk with a suspect in jail is interrupted by a loud, off-screen "No touching."
I wouldn't normally assume they were references, but given that their had already been a cast corss-over, and a reference to Veronica Mars on Arrested Development, I really have to wonder.

That's pretty funny. Maybe "don't call it that" was also a reference to "The OC" show, too.

That is one of those moments where I have to pause the show.
Martin Short, however, is unabashedly terrible.
Where do you think Steve Martin caught it?
Oh shit, it is! He's a banana!
the worst episodes were the charlize theron ones
No
this is the wrongest thing I have ever seen
they started over-referencing old jokes and charlize theron was unbearable to watch
though the "next time on arrested development" in the last theron episode was the best
and Ready, Aim, Marry Me was fantastic you dinks
You're joking, right?
His brothers were pretty funny, too.
or at least controlled it for longer
it got annoying
I wish he was still a PI

Also I love every part of the Martin Short episode other than the parts that Martin Short is in.
