Movement Step: No move. Action Step: Play Leadership 2 on William Adama (Rend)
Executive Orders: Action 1: Launch nuke at aft Basestar; supported by Tactics 3 - Strategic Planning by Tom Zarek.
2 + 2 = 4, Basestar destroyed!
Action 2: Activate Weapons Control at aft Raiders.
7 > 3, Raider destroyed!
Adama orders the launch of a nuke at the tailing Basestar, destroying it; Galactica's guns take down an additional Raider.
Crisis Step: Prisoner Revolt
Skill Check [11] Politics + Leadership + Tactics
Pass: No effect.
6+: -1 Population.
Fail: -1 Population, and President Gaius Baltar (Maddoc) chooses another player to receive the President title.
After Crisis: Activate Heavy Raiders, Advance Jump Preparation

Deeming this crisis appropriately catastrophic, I will oversee the resolution of this prisoner revolt very carefully. Playing Investigative Committee.
Maddoc plays Politics 3 to set up an Investigative Committee. All skill card contributions will now be made in-thread for this Skill Check. This post will be updated as contributions come in.
Ah, missed that portion of it. Sorry, first game and all, have the basics down from reading quickly through the rules, but it's not the same til it's been played through some.
No one else needs to add anything then, I finished it up for us. Unless of course someone is going to openly add negative cards, which I think would be a bit silly this early.
Yep. Skill Checks need to be made in order, especially when Investigative Committee is in effect. However, you should feel free to "pre-load" your actions by sending me a PM with cards you plan on playing, and under what conditions you wish to play them, if at all possible, so that when people do play their skill cards, that will speed up the resolution.
Ah, yeah. It starts with the destiny deck, then the person after the current player, and makes its way around the rotation to the current player, who adds his cards last, and is thus most informed about how to spend them.

I believe that takes care of that particular problem.
Crisis Step: Prisoner Revolt
Skill Check [11] Politics + Leadership + Tactics Pass: No effect.
6+: -1 Population.
Fail: -1 Population, and President Gaius Baltar (Maddoc) chooses another player to receive the President title.
Maddoc plays Politics 3 to set up an Investigative Committee.
Political unrest continues as signs of a prisoner revolt begin to brew on a transport ship. Quick action diffuses the situation peacefully.
After Crisis: Activate Heavy Raiders, Advance Jump Preparation
Fore Basestar launches 1 Heavy Raider.
Jump Preparation advances one step to Level 3. Turn 6: Admiral William Adama (Rend)
Receive Skills Step: Rend draws 3 Leadership and 2 Tactics cards.
Galactica: Hangar Deck and Armory damaged, no boarding parties.
Nuke Tokens: 1 remains.
Quorum Cards: 1 in hand.
Ship Reserves: 2 Vipers and 4 Raptors available.
Characters: Admiral William Adama (Rend) - Weapons Control, 5 cards in hand.
Lee "Apollo" Adama (Darian) - Viper at fore of Galactica (9 o'clock), 4 cards in hand.
Kara "Starbuck" Thrace (abotkin) - Viper at aft of Galactica (3 o'clock), 4 cards in hand. President Gaius Baltar (Maddoc) - President's Office, 2 cards in hand.
Tom Zarek (DevoutlyApathetic) - Administration, 6 cards in hand.
Special Rule - Training New Pilots
Keep this card in play until the fleet jumps. Each unmanned viper suffers a -2 penalty to its attack rolls.
Special Rule - Accept Prophecy
Keep this card in play. When a player activates "Administration" or chooses the President with the "Admiral's Quarters" location, increase the difficulty by 2, then discard this card.
Sorry for my absence this afternoon. Can't be here all the time! Rend, it's your turn.
Remember, send me a PM with the cards you plan to play for the Skill Check, along with any conditional plays, if applicable. I will update this post as orders come, in sequence. Alternatively, if you are next in sequence, you may also manually declare how many cards (but not which cards!) you are playing in bold cyan.

As President of the Twelve Colonies I feel this matter deserves my personal attention.
Having trouble really crafting contingent orders here. If you other guys could just take care of it, that'd be swell. If not, it's going to be very late before I get a chance to update and make a declaration.
I hope Rend submitted some cards, I put in a good chunk but just my cards aren't enough.
We either have to get lucky with the Destiny Draw or Baltar/Adama need to pull up the slack. 3 out of the 8 remaining cards should be positives but still.
Skill Cards and Result Politics 1 Politics 3 Leadership 1 Leadership 2 Leadership 5
Tactics 3
Result: 12 - 3 = 9, Pass: No effect.
Election planning runs smoothly and without incident, and the fleet continues on.
After Crisis: Activate Heavy Raiders, Advance Jump Preparation
The Heavy Raider at the fore (9 o'clock) moves to the port-bow (7 o'clock).
Jump preparation advances one step to Level 4 - Jump is possible, but at high risk. Turn 7: Lee "Apollo" Adama (Darian)
Receive Skills Step: Darian draws 1 Tactics, 2 Piloting, 1 Leadership, and 1 Politics card.
Jump Marker: Level 4 - Jump Available; Risk -3 population on a die roll of 6 or less.
Distance Covered: 0
Galactica: Hangar Deck and Armory damaged, no boarding parties.
Nuke Tokens: 1 remains.
Quorum Cards: 1 in hand.
Ship Reserves: 2 Vipers and 4 Raptors available.
Characters: Admiral William Adama (Rend) - Weapons Control, 3 cards in hand.
Lee "Apollo" Adama (Darian) - Viper at fore of Galactica (9 o'clock), 9 cards in hand.
Kara "Starbuck" Thrace (abotkin) - Viper at aft of Galactica (3 o'clock), 4 cards in hand. President Gaius Baltar (Maddoc) - President's Office, 1 cards in hand.
Tom Zarek (DevoutlyApathetic) - Administration, 4 cards in hand.
Well, then. I can take down most of the raiders on my side, or I could give Starbuck another shot at her crew. I'm not really liking the look of jumping at the moment.
I have yet to receive any more cards, so I will only be as useful as I was last time. If you could be more effective, it would probably be better for you to go. But I do have civvies over here, so that's something to consider.
We're going to jump soon hopefully. Really what I do not want is that heavy raider to dock. With two pilots I don't think either raiders are going to be a problem.
Actually....7 raider attacks would be pretty fucking bad....as would the raider getting on board. Really it depends on how the crisis's want to fuck us.
There are an awful lot of raiders in the sky, but I think I can keep them off of both Starbuck and I for long enough for us to jump. Those of you on the ship can worry about fixing up the armory so that if that toaster does manage to land, we can take him down before he causes too much damage.
I agree with Mr. Zarek, I think the worst thing would be if the heavy raider docked. Hopefully the next crisis jumps and launches raiders, instead of activating them, or something like that.
Your action being submitted, I won't be too critical, but I suppose it's a decent decision. Other that just jumping away, I'm not sure what else would be better for a pilot in space.
Luck appears to have shifted somewhat, as most of Apollo's shots do not hit their targets.
Crisis Step: Fulfiller of Prophecy
Lee "Apollo" Adama (Darian) must choose:
A) Skill Check [6] Politics + Leadership
Pass: Lee "Apollo" Adama (Darian) draws 1 Politics card.
Fail: -1 Population. OR Lee "Apollo" Adama (Darian) discards 1 Skill Card. After the Activate Cylon Ships step, return to the Resolve Crisis step (Draw a new Crisis Card and resolve it.)
....that's a bad idea. The more crisis that we face inbetween draws increases the liklihood of us being incapable of passing it with the cards we have. Nevermind the population hit which is just the horrible cherry on top of the bad sundae.
Edit: Bah, I still think eating the basestar hits for no reason isn't a good idea. We're already 1/3 of the way to losing and we don't have many people who can even repair stuff.

To be clear, the population loss is associated with the Fail effect of the Skill Check option (A), and not at all with the extra-Crisis option (B).

I'm really leaning toward option 2; I'd like to see us get a Crisis that advances the jump. Can anyone convince me to go the other way here?
