You show me yours and I'll show you mine [Local bands]
A lot of people on here play music; some are even rocking enough to be in a band. I'm not awesome enough to be in one, but I would like to share some music, and listen to some of your brain drippings.
A bunch of my friends have formed together to create Senator Fightmaster, and they're looking for feedback on their new album, which can be found here: http://www.myspace.com/senatorfightmaster
Or is it my friend's brother's friend? I can't remember.
In any case, there they are
edit: also my hometown birthed Bobaflex. they're heavier, i hear they're pretty popular
Okay, I can't figure this out -- Are Big Ass Manatee's vocals a really, really good cover, or did they take the vocal part from the songs and create the music around it?
Thee Armada - I know the lead singer because he works at the Best Buy that all my friends work at. They just got named Best Houston Band by 94.5 The Buzz for those of you that live in Texas.
Mechanical Boy - They always play with Thee Armada and I actually like them better.
I've seen them both like 7 or 8 times live.
Thee Armada I saw for the first time playing in one of my friend's backyards at a party.

The Wednesday Night Heroes - If you like good hardcore punk, you should dig this band. Open Fire and Action are the two I'd listen to first.
Ten Second Epic - Pop punk, but actually pretty decent. No auto-tuning crap. They're probably one of the more popular bands (at least in Canada) from Edmonton currently. Their third CD came out on Tuesday.

Oh man, I'm with you, Mechanical Boy is MUCH more my type of music. However, Thee Armada will probably be really successful with that good pop-ish sound they have going.
these guys don't have any good youtube videos up so here is a myspace!
they are pretty rad and just had a cd release
That has some pretty good acoustic guitar work to it. I'm not as much a fan of the vocals, but it's just not my style is all. If anyone else here likes them some good guitar, check this one out.
i thought the whole brokencyde thing was a joke but apparently a friend of mine went to one of their shows.
What is brokencyde? Should I try to find some of their music, or would I only regret it?
Part of me wants to say "hey, you should check them out" kinda like how you trick friends into watching 2girls1cup but no, no, you do not deserve such a fate.

They are horrible.
I wanted so badly to believe it was all a joke.
Oh god too late, I appreciate your honesty but I had already listened; I should have stopped when I noticed they list their genre as Cruck/Screamo/Electronica. That is the worst shit I've ever heard.

I watched a video of you playing acoustic solo, outside on a stage about a year ago. Ive seen some clips of the same show, but ive been searching for that particular song since then and cant find it.
Find it. And then tab it out for me. I guitar challenge you.
Thanks! You are a gentleman and a scholar. I always have a desire to learn fancy fingerpicking songs because its the only thing im good at... hmm, maybe ill give it a shot.

I am the gross nerd with the mandolin and the suit jacket the banjo player bought for me while I was not there and he insisted I wear it even though it was too short and later write a run on sentence about it.
My friends are in a different band and they are actually much more talented and contemporary.

No worries, and I wish you good luck! It's a great piece to bust out and get a crowd going.

They cast a shadow like a sundial in the morning light. It was half past 10.
4point0 - The friends' ska-rock band. Bass player is mnoll, lurks here on occasion I guess.
The Action! - another local ska-rock act that I love

They recently released their first ever video single:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yulgRcwyM0w
God damn 80 dollars a ticket.
I made a TD for iphone and windows phone!
I think she prefers the term "sea cow"

they are pretty rad and just had a cd release

Glass Casket is as well but I'm not a big fan of them.
Then there are a handful of smalltime hardcore bands that I don't care for.
Neat. It appears that we are from the same place. I like these guys, I'll look into buying their stuff!
Ah yes, here's another cool band. An old friend from Junior High whom I haven't seen in several years is in this band:
Whisker Kiss

crunk/screamo/electronica? holy fuck
there's no way I'm not checking them out now
HOLY SHIT
THIS IS AMAZING
That is as close to that "band" as I will ever come.
I have zero desire to listen to anything remotely similar to that.

Dreamboat is my hero. He is the coolest guy ever and is super fun to be around.

The Greatest Explorers in the World are neat, as are these next dudes, Italian Edition:

And then theres Counting Heartbeats, who can be ok, the lead singer is a hilarious dude and is also fun to hang out with.

Yeah I'm too lazy to do nice looking urls.
holy fucking shit
me too
what in the hell was that?
Did some shitty emo band fuck T-Pain?
http://www.agreymedium.com/
They're pretty neat
There's also Samuel Zasada, The Peppermint Vandals, and Nikki Loy all of whom I think are pretty damned great.
their live show is awesome, Javen and other Boston people I am coming to see them at the Draft in March
they are pretty mellow and stuff
their album is way overproduced but they are cool live
Laura Lost
Also these guys are fairly good friends of mine and not utterly awful
The Plastic Toys
Peripheral Visionaries
They didn't mix the two recordings which sucks because they sounded really awesome live.
oh ya, my other friends who are too stupid to form a real band covering DJ KK

On topic these guys are from my city i guess.

If so.. I can try to find out what he learned it from. I think it was a combination of some kind of tab, and meticulous study of this video

Here is a shitty recording of us!
