i was misdiagnosed when i was in high school
what was simply teenage angst was mistaken for deep depression
so i was put on paxil
and later zoloft when the paxil proved to be too strong
it was the worst few years of my life by far
it almost killed me and i hated everything about it
but i didn't need them, so...there ya go.
It's really not the physicians fault, all you really get in med school is a quick psych rotation. Getting pills before you've talked to a real head doctor for a while is asking for something like this to happen, sadly.
Oh god, I've been thinking about going to a head doctor and evaluating all the psychological disorders I may have. I took a series of tests a long while back, apparently I have a very high likelihood of having any or all these disorders; Antisocial, Avoidant, Borderline, Obsessive-compulsive, Paranoid, Schizoid, and Schizotypal. Though, I fucking HATE the thought of having a drug control the way I think. One of the reasons why I don't think it would be a good idea.
So I just went to the brain doctor for the first time and have officially joined the ranks of people on some scrips
He is putting me on zoloft and xanex, the former to be taken every day, the latter when needed
What is it like to be on drugs
I took zoloft and xanex. With Zoloft, my pupils would dilate, which caused me to get migraines and my teeth would chatter, it was like I was on x-lite, oh and I was like overly horny but couldn't have and orgasm and that sucked. So I had to take the xanex to counter act the zoloft. I eventually just quit taking them because to me the side effects were worse than dealing with my emotional problems which are all but non-existent now that I have become independent.

Even if I ever get depression I don't think I'll ever want to take pills for it.
i was prescribed zoloft in november and i still havent taken it
I don't think medical doctors can accurately diagnose depression. Therapists or psychiatrists, maybe, after a few sessions, but your average physician doesn't treat for depression, just being depressed.
It depends. Depression can be a side effect of other treatments like chemotherapy and it is not uncommon for an MD to prescribe medication to treat it.
i think the deal breaker for medication would be killing of the sex drive. like hey, i can deal with explosive poops and mgraine headaches, but man, boners are awesome

I start taking the zoloft tonight, and the xanex is for "situational use" which means I guess keep it around but don't use it

If there is something with a medical base that points to depression, sure.
But if there's nothing in their medical history that suggests chronic depression, the most they should do is recommend a good therapist.
We used to abuse the hell out of one of our friends' ritalin prescription at school. Like, doing lines of crushed Ritalin. Who though giving 16 year olds pocket fulls of controlled drugs would ever be a good idea?

Hopefully zoloft won't make me feel like butt ass
Zoloft makes you real jittery. Don't get me wrong. I felt awesome when I was taking it. It's just those side effects that bugged the hell out of me. And xanex was awesome because it just made me feel relaxed. Also, most of these brain drugs make people sweat a lot. Well, not me but most of the guys that I know who have taken them say they sweat profusely.

guys did you know that if you haven't completed the first year of college you can go out on medical dismissal for suicidal depression and have tuition waived?

as opposed to the root cause of the depression controlling the way you think?
The thing about Zoloft, at least in my experience from having been put on it during my Junior year of high school, is that it may not just work like you may think it will, you gotta put some effort into it. Not that that is a bad thing, but for me I was on tons of medications for my last 2 years of HS and I quit all of them because I hated taking them. Zoloft was the last one I kept taking and while I could certainly feel the effects of it medication-wise, I didn't feel less depressed. However, it did motivate me enough to get out of my depression, which I did without the rest of its help 8) So just because it may not work by itself, it may motivate you to think differently about stuff which could help.
Also, I use to have tons of panic attacks, which was why I was put on Zoloft in the first place, and it got rid of them perfectly. I had a couple of panic attacks after quitting it but the last I had was about two years ago.

take it while its legal if you ever want to know what its like to have a conversation with yourself
That's illegal in the UK and will basically get you busted in the US under the Federal Analogue Act anyway.
Just do salvia, unless its illegal in the UK. It's legal here in AZ I know, you can buy it at smoke shops. Don't do it by yourself though, make sure you have some good friends there who won't let you run into traffic or something. When I did it I got to time travel while going through a black hole, and then after it was over in 5 minutes I didn't know whether real life was a dream or not 8) It was pretty intense.

only if you have enough for intent to distribute
my dealer got picked up and released cause they couldnt do anything cause they couldnt identify the substance
I have a buddy who orders that shit in bulk all the time, there are a number of legal ways to acquire it
And I've never done 2c-I, but I once railed 8mg of 2C-E, and I could hear it sizzling and popping inside my nose. Another buddy busted all the arteries in his nose doing 2c-E.
Honestly, the best legal research chemical is 5-meo-DMT, or moxy, or whatever. My buddy and I took 10mg each once and I have never felt so genuinely good and content and just totally perfect for hours. Apparently it changes almost every time so occassionally you will trip balls.

Federal Analogue Act comes into effect when someone possesses unregulated drugs for the purpose of human consumption that have a structure and/or effect similar to other controlled drugs. They don't have to possess them with the intent of dealing. 2C-I is very similar to 2C-B which is a schedule I drug, so 2C-I could technically be treated as a schedule I under the Federal Analogue Act as well.

You have to have a business license to order them and a research license to pretend they are being used for non consumption purposes
