So Ben was reading Ulysses. I'm guessing that's sort of a poke about how LOST is such a character-driven story?

EDIT: And, you know, being long, full of obscure references, and difficult to understand without help?

Is that how Ulysses is? I just know it's a very Important Book but a lot of people really can't get through it.

Basically it's a novel about 3 people and a day in their lives, where each chapter is both a parody of part of The Odyssey and a sort of different experiment in writing method (one chapter is written as a newspaper column, another as a play, etc.) The book is just one huge set of allusions to the Bible, Homer, and other works. And it's probably impossible to understand every reference, even with help.

I've thought about reading it a couple times, but I doubt I'm well-read enough to fully enjoy it, and I've got quite a backlog of other famous books to read anyway.

dude we got a lot of answers.
    1. How Dharma found the island in the first place
    2. How the O6 get back to the island
    3. What time period the island is in now that the wheel is fixed
    4. To a much lesser extent. Why Christian is always wearing white tennis shoes despite being in a suit.
    5. Jack is becoming a man of faith
    6. It was Locke that killed himself

Not to mention the fact that we're only in episode 5 and already they ended the "getting back" tangent. That would have been a whole season back at the old lost pace.

I'm just saying. Don't say this show doesn't answer anything when you really only focus on like, the 5 biggest mysteries of the show and ignore everything else.

    look

I'm just not happy with what I waited a week to watch

is it so hard for the writers to do two episodes without going "OKAY NOW THAT WE'VE REVEALED SOMETHING WITH THESE CHARACTERS, LET'S GO FOCUS ON THE QUEERCIANIC SIX FOR AN EPISODE"

    I just want some continuity

Terrible episode, and i dont like knowing what happens next week either, much prefer they left "lock visited us" and "locke hanged himself" a secret so it was a surprise at the time. They have revealed so much about what Locke has to do and we know he was successful that i cant really look forward to next weeks so much.

Well, next week's episode was originally supposed to air this week.

ABC flipped them. Writers also said it didn't really matter which order those two were in.

    Bentham stuff:
Also, I could've sworn that we knew that Locke killed himself since the end of last season. Maybe even when they first brought up the obituary at the end of season 3.

Why did they act like it was a big suprise?

    I gotta ask this.

Did Lord Dave do Lost points for seasons one or two? And does anyone have them?

I'm trying to get them all into one file. I've got seasons four and five, and most of season three. (Missing episodes 3.3 til 3.6)

Can anyone help me fill the gaps?

I definitely didn't do them for season 1.
I think I started sometime in season 2, but that was mostly abloobloo points for Kate.
It's also possible that I never did 3.3-3.6, but I dunno.
