Every so often, a year comes together *just* so, where all the stars align
and schedules permit to create the perfect climate for the most pants wetting year for movies...especially to the fanboys in all of us. 1999 seemed to be the last truly unpresedented epic film year.
But behold what 2007 is bringing, between jan and dec to theatres:

Not enough said. Live action Transformers... No, just no. And its directed by Michael fucking Bay, who is Uwe Boll with a $200 million budget. (Although admittingly, The Rock is a guilty pleasure.). I honestly don't see why this is on the list.
Although 2007 does look good so far.
please?
Fanboys looks pretty goddamn hilarious.
did anyone see the movie about the first kid to see star wars that came out earlier this year? the name of the movie is whatever the date of star wars' release was... but I don't recall it.
hitting hot metal with hammers
dear god, what a glorious spectacle that will be!!!!
I can barely control my bowel with every thought i have about that movie
-Jimi Hendrix
The only thing that worries me is that there was more dialogue in that trailer than there was in the entire book.

The Dark Crystal 2!!!!????
My childhood might just claw its way out through my chest with delight! I did a quick google to double check and found a fraggles movie, and that they are talking about something with the Labyrinth...
*rolls into the fetal position giggling like a schoolgirl*
Man - they could do me some serios psychological damage if they screw this up... I feel so... vulnerable.
Dark Crystal 2!!!!!!!!
...
YES! No idea when this comes out:
trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-JiTO0h-Sw
Crap, yes I did. *edits*
Sorry, both are Summer 2008 as of now. Filming for the Dark Knight begins in january. Still not sure if I like their choice of The Joker.(I woulda wanted Marilyn Manson or Crispin Glover)
Oh I'm not looking forward to it or not, but SOME might be.
I told my friend that there will be a "new Star Wars film" , then showed him this trailer. He agreed, this is as close to a new Star Wars film as were gonna get:)
I also heard there will be a movie by the guys behind the guys behind the "Lazy Sunday" SNL video
NeoRamen: panoramic cyberpunk gamer comic
I hope it comes out. I adore that novel.
I don't know. I saw it here.
- "Proving once again the deadliest animal of all ... is the Zoo Keeper" - Philip J Fry

AND Princess(the most F'D UP animated film Ive ever heard of, those wacky French!) http://www.princessmovie.com/dk/trailer_stor.htm
Yeah, I don't know about that one...AVP in a small hich town, with a pizza delivery boy and sheriff, culminating in a showdown in a giant wallmart.
No seriously, check out the script.
Well, it comes out in Feb and theres no trailer...the poster looks wonky.
The movies about Hannibal's "younger" years
Forgot about this trailer! This kick ass Korean film out in US theatres in Jan, looks like a better version of the 1998 US Godzilla meets Patlabor 13:
http://greenroom-press.com/clients/Optimum%20Releasing/theatrical/the_host/the_host_hi.mov
And yes, there is a Fraggle Rock theatrical film in the works:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6069948.stm
But yes, a Dark Crystal sequel will be out by thanksgiving/xmas of next year to theatres...which will be back to animatronics/puppetry with some cgi. Also back will be the Skeksis!
Now that audiences have fallen in love with Lee's style — and the computer-generated hobbits, elves and walking trees that came with it — they may finally be ready for a drop-kicking Muppet. Tartakovsky is happy to oblige, working with Froud on updated versions of Jen and Kira, the mystic urSol, one-eyed psychic Aughra, the Skeksis and the Garthim.

God I love you Jack. More than anybody will ever know
Yuck! *spit spit spit spit*
Horrible movies.
No, I hate you, your belief system and everything that you've ever loved. If you were to agree with me on something I would change my view or kill myself because I hate you so much.
You better watch out, savvy?
manson for joker? no. hes a singer not an actor.
id probably pick steve buscemi. he could play a deadbeat down on his luck loser turned criminal psycho really well i think.
If it is bad, there will be letterbombs.
I believe they start shooting The Dark Knight next year, and are aiming at a 2008 release.
I'm looking forward to many of those, and I too have quiet hopes for Ender's Game.
I just want them to do the battlerooms right. If they pull it off, I'll weep tears of joy.
Edit; and it's got to be dark. So much of the story is based around a little boy who is willing to do what it takes to win deceicively. There are two fights that should be graphically violent enough on film to earn this at least an AA raiting, if not an R.
Jack Black is hit or miss, and his decency is generally dependent upon the director and the style of movie he is in.
That in mind, there is nothing about the description of that movie that doesn't spell gold for me.
What? How on earth did you equate .dk with France? It's Danish, and it's also a fucking terrible movie, no matter how good it looks.
Go MoMA membership!!!
Could it be the turkey?
Shoot 'Em Up
Am I the only one that saw the (leaked?) pre-vis 2D animations used to pitch this movie a while ago? I can't seem to dig them up again; everything that seems to be about it is coming up 404.
It looks so cool.
At one point they have sex during the gun fight!
Awesome
Ain't It Cool had some info on it up a bit ago, with pre-screenings coming back pretty positive.
