and schedules permit to create the perfect climate for the most pants wetting year for movies...especially to the fanboys in all of us. 1999 seemed to be the last truly unpresedented epic film year.

Not enough said. Live action Transformers... No, just no. And its directed by Michael fucking Bay, who is Uwe Boll with a $200 million budget. (Although admittingly, The Rock is a guilty pleasure.). I honestly don't see why this is on the list.

I remain cautiously optimistic; I saw the trailer and basically shat myself, but then I realized that you can scrape up enough footage from any movie ever made to make a decent 2-minute trailer. Remember how awesome the trailer for Troy was? But I trust these guys. And Frank Miller's working on it in some fashion.

The only thing that worries me is that there was more dialogue in that trailer than there was in the entire book.

Sorry, both are Summer 2008 as of now. Filming for the Dark Knight begins in january. Still not sure if I like their choice of The Joker.(I woulda wanted Marilyn Manson or Crispin Glover)

But yes, a Dark Crystal sequel will be out by thanksgiving/xmas of next year to theatres...which will be back to animatronics/puppetry with some cgi. Also back will be the Skeksis!

I believe they start shooting The Dark Knight next year, and are aiming at a 2008 release.

I'm looking forward to many of those, and I too have quiet hopes for Ender's Game.

I just want them to do the battlerooms right. If they pull it off, I'll weep tears of joy.

Edit; and it's got to be dark. So much of the story is based around a little boy who is willing to do what it takes to win deceicively. There are two fights that should be graphically violent enough on film to earn this at least an AA raiting, if not an R.

Jack Black is hit or miss, and his decency is generally dependent upon the director and the style of movie he is in.
