Crazy Hat Society... pic heavy

So I've been crocheting and knitting a lot lately and
somehow I have created these strange yet unique
funny hats. So far I have made a Scaredy Bear hat
that scares the crap out of your cat. I have also made
a Chinchilla hat with ear flaps. those two being crochet
and embroidery, and a few recycled buttons. Then after
I made those weird creations I thought it would be a
good idea to make an elephant hat.... so I did and I am
pretty sure that one is at least right now the most
ridiculous hat I have made yet so far. Right now I'm
making a lion but I haven't figured out the mane yet. But
when it's complete I shall put up an update.

In no way can you take yourself or anyone else for that
matter seriously while they or yourself is or are wearing
one of these hats.

    These are fantastic, and I lol'd at quite a few (especially the elephant).

    Also the lion mane should be easy - or are you thinking about where to put the mane on the hat?

    I fixed the mane and if there are any critiques I would love them. Or ideas for new animals/creatures to make. Takes about a day to make them, depending on how crazy they are. Any ideas on different things to try? Techniques or input that would be awesome.

    A beaver... I think I can make that and it would probably be $25
    the prices are all on my etsy store under which hat it is

    The elephant nose is actually filled with recycled light weight fabric
    I wish i used a slinky that would have been great...lol

    I'm so happy everyone likes them.
    The fighting peen are my favorites!!
    My boyfriend loves this site and he told me that i should put them up on here.

    I just need more ideas for things to make
    i'm getting a little burnt out with things to come up with so any help is always appreciated

    I think one of the reasons I love the elephant so much is because there are lines of the darker thread above the eyes...it makes it look like eyebrows, which gives him this hilarious expression of intense dissatisfaction.

    well after tomorrowi have a couple days off so i will make you a beaver hat sir and i will put it up under a reserve with your name on it that way only you can get it. :) do you want the tail on the back and if so big or small??? this is a great idea i can have fun with this.

    Well i've been crocheting since i was like 14 and knitting I taught myself via the internet...lol
    i love how-to videos...lol

    a penguin hat??? that could and shall be fun.... I would love to see some sketches that would probably really help in making the process easier :)

    and a monkey... I was wanting to make one but hadn't gotten to it yet but thank you for reminding me I can try to make that one soon.

    and to beaver girl the base of the hat is all done i just have to do the hard stuff now lol and give it a face

    This is what I need

    I need a bear hat

    Nothing ostentatious or elaborate, nothing as complicated as your lion hat or anything, pretty much just a straightforward knitted cap with little bear ears (and maybe ear flaps to keep me warm)

    Then I need a scarf

    A plain wool scarf, same colour, knitted in the same style

    In the middle of one side of the scarf, I need a snarling bear mouth

    So if it's not too cold out, I can just wear the scarf around my neck and it will just look like a brown scarf

    But if it's cold, I can pull it across my face and transform into a terrifying snarling bear

    What do I need to do to make this work

    stegasaurus..... hmmm... i need new colors for that one
    the bear i can probably do the scarf will betricky but i think .... maybe embroidery? ... do you think that would work for the face on the scarf? i can probably figure it out... i know i have 3 days off next weekand nothing to do yet so this might keep me busy lol

    naw my job is going out of business so when i go to work there's nothing to do ... so i knit
    and when i come home i knit some more... it's really turning into an obsession... but oh well.. i like it

    I'm glad you guys like it hopefully beavotron does

    I thinking about that monkey hat right now ...
    i dont have to work tomorrow
    so i might start it tonight lol
