[Manipulate On] Dawn of Woe 2 - We have heard the call to war.

All it needs is one more unit. Wraithguard.
After that, they can stop.
chair to Creation and then suplex the Void.
Replace D-Cannon with Wraithguard and I'll be happy, Eldar shouldn't have platforms at all, give them this and cheaper gates and we're golden.
This is kind of what I'm talking about. I don't care about competitive players. I don't care about rules lawyers. I'm talking about the creepers.
You log into a forum and you cannot see them, you cannot hear them, you cannot smell then, but you know they're there. You can feel their presence online. And it feels like social awkwardness. It fills the pages, chokes it, makes it unbearable to stay in, and makes you pray that they would just smell. The odor of someone that never bathes or washes the cheeto stains from their fingers is more pleasant than the aura these people emit.
You compose yourself and carry your suffering psyche over to the dawn of war 2 thread and post about how you would like to see the imperial guard be in an expansion. But they catch sight of you, the lust in their eyes making it known that they've never so much as dreamed of feeling the touch of a man.
The log out button is not far away, but it feels like several miles with their eyes on you, all encompassing desire the only thing filling their nerd brains. The admin looks normal. Very normal. He only smiles and asks if you need any help or if you're ready.
"I'm ready," you mumble, the words barely audible over the talking of lesser nerds crying about how the tyranids are overpowered. But you can feel their eyes boring into the back of your skull and their lack of social skills continues to fill the air and drain the life from you.
Finally, the admin lets you go, smiles again, and tells you to have a nice day. You race out the website. In a walk, of course. You wouldn't want to look like you were running away. Google appears in front of you and you can breathe again. They're gone, still back there. They'd be too afraid to follow you out here.
But you check your recent history tab. The prospect of returning to play seems more frightening than anything you've ever experienced. So you walk to your backyard for a smoke, the wind chilling your persperation, which is odd, as you didn't realize you were sweating before.

I could care less, but I don't feel the effort is worth it
chair to Creation and then suplex the Void.
At least that seems to work. Maybe a bolter devestator instead of another tac squad, but that's generally what I see.
It depends on the races you're fighting and on the map, of course. In a 3v3 on the desert map while taking the top or bottom lane, a heavy bolter is invaluable and can be taken first, followed by a tac squad, for instance. Any time the enemy can easily be funneled and baited into your heavy bolter, you have a good map to use one on.
Double tac squad against Tyranids? Well I guess to be fair, the best strategy vs Tyranids is just to lose as quickly as possible so you can get in more games against less ludicrously OP races.
Although I'm not sure how likely that is considering the sisters were left out in the cold by relic last time
I'm with Akira here. Tac squads can't beat Warriors for cost and they can easily have more Warriors than you have Tacs. Even if you have as many Tacs as they have Warriors, which is unlikely, you're still fucked.
Heavy Bolter Devs, Plasma Devs, Scout Snipers, FC with Thunder Hammer & Iron Halo, Dreadnoughts. These will be far more useful, but even then Nids will be imba, especially with the Ravener to fuck up your Dev squads with.
Then we'd get some pretty interesting units
Heavy Bolter, if you are planning on staying in your lane through tier 1 (some maps are much more condusive to this than others)
Upgrade scouts to shotguns
Cap a power node, throw down 3 power generators
Tac Squad - don't get the flamer unless you are going against nids.
Tech to Tier 2.
Depending on who you are up against upgrade your tac squad wtih a missile launcher or a plasma gun.
Get a Second Tac squad equip it with plasma or missile launcher depending on what you didn't get.
After that it really opens up to how the board developed and what your opponents play style is. I usually like to get a razorback next, but on a tight map like capital spire I will often start plasma dev spam or get a dreadnaught.
Troop transports are your best friends on larger maps, there nothing like screaming around to hotspots with them and a tac squad to give support.
Get seargents for your marines when you can, but at 25 power a piece, getting one for plasma squad might be all you can afford depending on how tight your power is.
I am not a big fan of the assualt marines, which everyone will hate on me for, but with an apoc they can slaughter a good amount of things.
Only go tier 3 when you have enough zeal or approaching end game. The 100 power is better spent on equiping your hero/tac squads.
It'll never ever happen, I'm sure. But it would be kind of neat but with so many playable armies already in the table top game I guess you'd then be risking too much dilution.
The shit was crazy loots.
Resident 8bitdo expert.
Resident hybrid/flap cover expert.
If I feel it necessary, I'll get myself a plasma devastator as well, and if I have resources to burn needlessly, a few predators
But usually the tacs fulfill my needs throughout all tiers
Raslin is just making fun of a post Pancake made on page... 6 I think?
Regardless, the nerd snobbery in this thread is completely hilarious, but I'm really only reading this thread because I can't get in multiplayer games
Not all nerds were created equal!
It's kind of a dumb thing to make fun of since it was meant to be humorous to begin with. You're probably kind of an idiot if you thought it wasn't exaggerated and I was nerdraging at all the nerds beneath me.
But I'm an editor by trade. It's what I do for a living. And things like "I could care less" irritate me to no end.
I also get the feeling you and Raslin are the sort of people I was writing about.

Stay on topic, please.
Thank you
So how about that thar DOW2.
I think GFWL was a bad choice on relics part, if for no other reason than that it has prevented them from releasing patches as quickly as they could have.

CONGRATULATION! YOUR THREAD HAS BECOME RAICHU!
Rename Raichu y/n?
Currently playing: GW2 and TSW
They would most likely still want their game to be Games For Windows certified. That would still delay the patches, I'm pretty sure.
Also I find it kinda nice having the GFWL buddy list available whenever as well as the Steam one.
Im giving Relic the benefit of the doubt. They have said that this game was specifically designed to patch faster, and that they learned from previous mistakes in there internal process that made them patch slowly.
Its just seems stupid to fix the internal stuff that was slowing you down, and add a external party to slow you down instead.
But maybe they were lying about the quick patching stuff.
It's a stupid Eldar name. I went with something else but it was pointed out it was the name of another game. I've been too apathetic to change it to something more topical.
