Visionaries was a great Saturday morning cartoons. Modern man plunged into an age of magic. Knights with animal totems that could turn into that animal.

I'd go look it up on youtube, but I'm afraid my nostalgia might get in the way and in reality it sucked.

I can't go into the Watchmen thread anymore. I saw the movie, I discussed it a bit, I'm done. If I have to listen to one more person whining about how "Hallelujah" was a bad choice of song for the sex scene I'm going to blow my brains out.

    There was also M.A.S.K.

Combine Transformers with GI Joe. Transforming vehicles and military guys fighting.

Kids went nuts for that shit. The cartoon was iffy but the toys were awesome.

What about that one where a bunch of football players were summoned by Merlin back to the time of King Arthur since the Knights of the Round had been magically disabled.

And like, the linebacker had the power of a ram and so his heraldry was ram stuff and whatnot.

    Anybody remember that?

Watching Voltron now is like watching military contractors or Teamsters.

OK guys, there's the Ro-Beast. Instead of just forming Voltron, busting out the blazing sword, and moving on to our next task, let's fuck around for 20 minutes and jeopardize everything.

First up, attack one at a time as lions

    Shit, didn't work

Then attack in groups of 2 or 3 as lions

    Fuck

OK, all of us...attack as lions

    Damn

OK, lets get beat on for a bit, then miraculously break free to form Voltron

So we're Voltron now. Lets shoot eye lasers that have never worked and maybe throw a robot ninja star at it. Cool.

Ummmm, shit, what else do we have. Uh, Princess and Hunk...shoot missiles out of your lion mouths on the feet. That's kind of cool. Also, Lance shoot fire at him, even though he's a 20 story tall fire robot monster.

Now that we've wasted a bunch of resources and are on overtime, lets form the sword and git er' done.

I generally get in to work 8:30 to 9:00. One time I was working on a project with a girl who started before 7 every day, and she asked me why I didn't come in early rather than staying back late.
I told her the only time I ever got up that early was when I was in grade 3 and Thundercats was on at 6:30 every morning. In the last 20 years there hasn't been a reason as compelling as that for getting out of bed at that hour, and until there was one she could wait for me.

    The 80's love dinosaurs too.

There was Dinosaucers about alien dinosaurs who walked on two legs and could talk.

Then Dino Riders. Outfitting dinosaurs with lasers and armor. Awesome.

And then the best ever. Denver the Last Dinosaur.
