I just thought it was regular chat shenannigans until it dawned on me reading through today it seems to have sustained itself more than a day or so.

I may not convey this very well, but there are a ton of people on these forums that I like.

Seriously though, High Fidelity tops my list of awesome awesome movie soundtracks. And that's beside being an excellent movie in its own right.
I much preferred the book. I thought the movie was ok, but I really didn't like Cusack's character or Robin Wright Penn.
... What? Robin Wright-Penn wasn't in High Fidelity.
edited to add that I generally prefer the movies made out of Nick Horby's books to the books themselves. I like the books, they just feel a little loose and unedited. The movies are forced to tighten the plot up because of time-restrictions, and for most of his books I think this helps a lot.

I think he's an entertaining but not particularly talented writer. He cannot write kid characters for shit.
