Is that better Tam? And I am trying to do better with how my lines connect. When I put a lot of effort into making sure there is no white space between my line segments they all come out equal weight. I have a life drawing class next semester, hopefully that will help me feel more confident with my line quality and shape.

Try thickening the outline, monarch, it might lend the drawing a sense of unity it doesn't have right now. You also need to put more weight on the meeting places of lines.
And the lines above the pecs are still superfluous.

Oh THOSE lines above the pecs. Now I got it... brain wasn't working yesterday.
I'm gonna give your line ideas a try tonight and play around. I'll post the results and if you don't mind, I'd love the feedback.

A landscape WIP, I kind of like how it was turning out but I probably won't finish on account of I don't know what to do from there to get it finished :P.
Those are excellent sketches, Tam. They have a lot of personality.
I started doing some pencil sketches of characters from Rank's "Monsters, Inc." D&D game where they players are monsters defending a dungeon from annoying adventurers:
To be fair, I did a quick, rougher version of these and then traced them onto a new piece of paper using my light table. It sort of ends up being more like "inking with a pencil".

This information does nothing to diminish my opinion. Tracing isn't cheating when it's your own drawing.

Christ are you serious? I practically have a pencil glued to my hand.
It must hurt every time you take a drink!
Ive just been using those cheap 3 dollar pens from wal-mart(WHICH I STOLE!). Those pilot ones with the really black ink.
Wiping my ass is the worst bit.
You should wait to sharpen it afterwards next time.
