No question this week, Captain Britain & MI13 #12 was the best. The writing is clever, and the art is the best I've seen from Kirk yet. But the story has a real back and forth going on to see who is smarter, Dracula or Wisdom. And the ending, well...
The team has a plan that deals with the skull of Blades old sidekick, Quincy:

cb12a.jpg

But oh noes! The vampires were tacking Blade all along to find the skull!
While they fight, magic reinforcements arrive via Moon Magic!:

cb12b.jpg

And then....

cb12c.jpg

Those wacky Brits!

Moment of the weak: Battle for the Cowl 2. Just cliched 90's stuff, overplayed and decided to make no mystery about what is going to happen. You can only make Gotham so bad to the point where you just don't wonder why people leave the city.

I like Todds costume though, Tim got f'd in the a'.

I don't like Superman mostly because Kryptonians under a yellow sun are ridiculous and an entire population of them just won't hunt senor.

I'm actually really enjoying New Krypton. Today's issue with Commander El taking charge of his squad was pretty cool. I'm hoping to see a new side of Superman as he takes on the role of a military commander and has to play by a set of rules completely different from what he is used to.

Also, those guns they have sound pretty cool. I'd hate to see General Lane get his hands on one of those. Oh wait, no, that would be awesome. Could some one please give General Lane a gun. Thanks.

I'm not sure if I fully got what was going on with those guns, so it fires red sun rays at you to weaken an area and then pumps some regular bullets into the area?

title of this week's moments should have been 'these moments are mine mine mine mine' or some such.
Looks like most of us were right that the Orange Lantern Corps is just Larfleeze and everyone else is a construct (probably whoever he kills is used as a construct).

Nooooooo Tim! He can totally walk that off. He's the goddamn Robin.

Yeah, I guess that'd be my MotW. Not much was coming out from Marvel this week and I forgot to to put an order for Timeshift. Or whatever it's called with Spider-Man 2099 on the cover.

One thing is for certain, with just one guy able to tap into the full power of the orange lantern, he appears to be incredibly powerful.

Yet they show him as Robin on the cover to Red Robin in the DC Nation stuff in the back of books.

They really need to not put that stupid Power Girl preview in any more books. It was in GL, Superman, and BFtC this week. Yeah. We get it. She has big boobs. Now please make her go away.

Yeah, the two companies need to realize that putting the same preview in every book may make people just not pick it up. You have to have other books you want to promote besides TITS.

Again, sell your ad space at a lower rate to get some cash flow from those pages rather than wasting them on superfluous previews. Put a Tiny Titans strip in the back of issues instead or something, anything.

I feel Hal's sentiment though. The word has been used so much lately it's lost its meaning. I can't wait to read Guy say "What's with these hope-a-dopes?" And then you had Scar go "we don't negotiate with terrorists" (oh goodie there's no real world analogy for that is there nope tee hee)

GL was ok, but Tan isn't very clear in storytelling yet. The panels don't transition smoothly compared to other artists. And the cross hatching is so 1991. I like the orange though, the color just looks cool out in space, like galactic reese's pieces.

    Hey, Bullseye sure is o-pen-ionated

And Dark Reign is less the T-Bolts run amok but more Marvel accepting 90's anti-heroes as something worth expounding upon, only this time with better writers and artists. You can only take it so far.

Hopefully Marvel learn a lesson from DC having Luthor being President. You can only make them evil for so long and have the "shock" effect of them being the head honcho before you have to make them less twirling mustache and more "Since I'm here, I might as well fix things my way."
