Kittens 2: Cute Harder *UPDATED OP WITH PICS*

Thanks for all the help chaps and chappettes.

Sunday morning, my fiancé and I went to the SPCA. She got quite emotional with an older cat because she knew what was in store for him. So, a few tears and mascara runs later, we stumbled upon these two chaps.

Names kind of happened more organically than I thought - many were thrown out because they didnt suit the personality... But by the time we got home, we'd settled on:

Jasper - Black and White Tabby
and
Monty (Montgomery) - Dark Brown

Now, to make good on my promise. PICS!

JASPER: - Breast Man.

MONTY: - Nice but Dim.

3477865284_98d3214cf5.jpg

They have a real bromance going on and rough house all day... Then they slept on our bed all night. They didnt even get up to have a play or anything... just enjoyed being there.

It's awesome.

---

Right. Names.
This weekend, my fiancé and I will travel to the local shelter to adopt a pair of kittens. Originally we were going to get one, but she wants two and I think that they'll be good company for one another. I'll spring the old "OK two" thing at the SPCA for maximum brownie points.

So, that presents me with a problem.
I'm well aware of the "Cat threads require pics" rule. But I have no kittens yet - and we wont let our kitties go nameless while you lot make with the names.

So, I propose a compromise. Below are some pics of kittens. When I get mine, I'll post them.
noekula-kittens.jpg
5kittens.jpg

So now you guys have to make with the names.

Generally, we wouldn't use a name too out there (I'm not allowed 'Chairman Meow') - and we're not too fond of generic cats names like "Fluffy" or "Snowey"

So make the most of this opportunity, and post your suggests!

I promise to update with pickies later.

No! Darwin and Wallace are the best pair of names!

    Nice.

I'm also partial to mythological names... but so many aren't cute.

    Also: New pics.

I was going to name my dog whiskey or cognac at one point. If that helps. My mum originally suggested Vodka. : /

I am always a fan of naming a pair of anything so that when both of their names are said together, it forms a word. Like Amper and Sand, would be Ampersand. Not a great example, but you get the idea.

You could give them normal-ish Western names. Like, say, Alexis and Milly. Or Alexander and Martin. Or name them exceptionally cute things, like Sunshine and Tulip. Or fulfill the Japanophile part of you that totally exists and I'm not making up because I don't know a thing about you with names like Nanami and Keiko. Or go super videogame nerd and name them Mario and Luigi.

    I KNOW!

I always take one good look at the pet and think "my god, you're so delicious...yes you are! yes you are! why I could just go home and eat you. The most delicious cat I've ever met."

But its a misleading name. I usually use them for a stew

If you get a male cat, I think Mr. Sparkle! (not the exclamation mark) is a great name. That way, when you're calling for him, you can imitate this commercial:

    http://www.milkandcookies.com/link/20638/detail/

    Meeeeeessssssssaaaaaaaaaaaaah Sparkleeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Also, you can name the other one "Waaaaatchooooooooo" from the last line in that commercial.

    nice one.

i would say Fezzik and Inigo.

We were acually going to name our first cat fezzik. it would have been appropriate since he turned into a giant. our second cat is a scrapppy little guy who would have made a perfect Inigo. but he is too much of a toruble maker so he is now Loki

    That hurts my brain.

My cats are Dinner and Elevensies.
You can't use that, but maybe it'll give you some off the wall thematic idea.
I can't stop you from using it, but warned: Everyone will ask you how you got the names, and what Elevensies means. Even your vet. No matter how many times you've been there.
