    I have been mulling getting a tattoo for ages

    I seem to be circling the final idea

    at first I just wanted a crow done in a classic surreal folk-art style but I think I might expand that into a tree done in the same style with a crow perched on the leftmost bough

    drawn by my roommate, of course

    it's hard to explain, but every time I see a drawing in the style I show my roommate and he gets it

    it's this particular style that is somewhere between a perfectly realistic drawing and the sort of things you see in stuff like Blake's etchings

    I can't explain it, but if you saw it you'd probably be like "oh, that, right"
